Additionally...

David Bowie - Outside Outtakes

I was rummaging through my bootlegs today and thought some folks would be interested in these. Very very good, very very rare (with the exception of track 8 none of them have been officially released). Is there a specific thread for bootlegs btw?

1. We'll Creep Together
2. Fly Boy
3. She Should Be There
4. Creep
5. I'd Rather Be Chrome
6. The Enemy Is Fragile
7. OK Riot
8. Nothing To Be Desired

Ok, went through Bulldog's Reggae compilation quite a few times now.
Loved most of those tracks!(not surprising though as I've already listened to half of those)
As for the bad tracks, well, there wasn't any. If at all anything, i did get bored a bit by the first half, but It definitely was appealing after a while.
Next would be...err...I don't know. I've got like 10 compilations to go through now :(
I'll listen to RezZ's compilation next.

Anyways, here's another one i made few minutes back-
An EBM/Electro-Industrial compilation. Would be a good introduction for anyone whose interested :D

Track Listing

1. Einstürzende neubauten - steh auf berlin - No, this one ain't EBM, but I intend to screw your brains over before starting :ar_15s:

2. BiGod 20 - Sick - From BiGod 20's debut LP - Steel Works!. Stunning album to say the least.

3. D.A.F. - der mussolini - D.A.F. were one of the more simpler bands who didn't use much instruments, but they were highly influential on some of the later 80s/early 90s artists. Let me know if you need translated lyrics.

4. Front 242 - U-men

5. Skinny Puppy - Killing Game

6. Front Line Assembly - Bio-Mechanic - Front Line Assembly, Skinny Puppy, Front 242...some of the bigger names. Very influential and definitely responsible for popularizing the genre. Some of Skinny Puppy's material were a bit different, but anyways, all these bands have a lot of similarities.

7. Leæther Strip - Strap me down - Leæther Strip was one of the darker - EBM artist to emerge from the early 90s. And "Solitary Confinement" just proves that!

8. Nitzer Ebb - Join In The Chant - Please don't hurt someone after listening to this :shycouch:

9. Meat Beat Manifesto - Psyche-Out - From the album "99%", which I would consider an Electro-industrial/EBM classic. These guys take more influences from dub/breakbeat/hip-hop.

10. Clock DVA - The Hacker - From the album "Buried Dreams". One of the DARKEST album I've EVER heard. No No, Dark isn't the word! It's beyond dark, and It ends with this Stunner "The Hacker" which i intend to use here as well. One of the best Electro-Industrial album I've heard. Must listen for fans of the genre.

I haven't included some essentials, like Throbbing Gristle or Ministry for example, but anyways, that would be in the next compilation.(which would be "Weird industrial noises", after a few more days of course)
The second half is a bit more darker than the first half. Don't forget to create a "new playlist" if you are stuck on Itunes like me.

EBM - Download

Looks good, Demonoid, I might give it a listen later.

I'm thinking of doing a pop punk compilation, but I don't know if anyone would be interested...

Glad you enjoyed the comp.

Gotta love a bit of Skinny Puppy! Haven't got any Einstürzende Neubauten but I've heard many good words about them (might have to pester you for album recommendations future). Cheers for the upload - I'll have a listen tomorrow

All right, I'll give it a try.

FaSho 10-28-2008 06:41 PM

You know I would.

And it doesn't matter anyway, no one listens to mine, but I'm still making them.

Yes, that's what the band is called. I was on iLike on Facebook one time and saw that this was a free MP3 and had jsut been uploaded. I downloaded it and loved it. It's funky, rockin', and just a great instrumental track. I thought I should download some of their other stuff today, but it's just random pop punk stuff. This is what they should be making more of.

do you have a link to the album its on? I cant find it anywhere.

Good Comp I liked it alot.

BUZZCOCKS TO BUBBLEGUM: A POP PUNK COMPILATION

Well, here it is. No Green Day or Blink-182-esque bands, if y'all are wondering. I was thinking about putting some Riverdales on it, but there's enough Bubblegum as it is.

1. Screeching Weasel "Cool Kids"
Screeching Weasel are at the top of their game when it comes to pop punk. They're immature and catchy, and this song is no exception.

2. Teenage Bottlerocket "Fall For Me"
One of the members from The Lillingtons is in this fairly new pop punk in band. This band is Screeching Weasel for the 2000's, just as, if not more catchy.

3. The Buzzcocks "Fiction Romance"
You can't do a pop punk compilation and not include The Buzzcocks. This is song is powered by a cool riff and a standard pop punk beat. Great stuff.

4. Jawbreaker - Save Your Generation
Somewhat darker pop punk, but the awesomeness is still there.

5. Descendents "I'm The One"
Descendents were originally a hardcore punk band, so their brand of pop punk is considerably different than the some of the other ones on this compilation, but it's still fun and lighthearted.

6. The Lillingtons "I Saw The Apeman"
The masterpiece of The Lillingtons' epic concept album "Death By Television". Maybe not, but it's a good time.

7. Lagwagon "Weak"
You didn't think I was going to make a pop punk comp and leave Lagwagon out, did you? Yes, they're "skate punk" if you ask all those guys on Last.fm, but they belong here just as much as they do at a skateboarding competition. This is a rockin' tune.

8. Sound Of A Revolution "Make It Last"
Last time I checked, these swedish guys are unsigned. Whatever, good song.

9. The Queers "I Wanna Be Happy"
Kay, I have almost nothing by The Queers on this machine, but this song definitely deserves a spot here. Very Ramonesy.

10. Bracket "Everyone Is Telling Me I'll Never Win"
Pop punk summed up in one song.

No, they're an unsigned band. Check them out on Garageband.

GarageBand.com : My Favorite Band

I'm not sure if you'll find much like that song though, the other two songs I have by them are pop punk tunes.

And thanks. :)
