Great movie soundtracks with awesome indie/alt music

American Beauty is very good, it includes Eels, Elliott Smith, The Who, Gomez etc. And Also Garden State as mentioned previously. Umm, Cruel Intentions soundtrack is very good too! Particularly a tune on there by Kristen Barry called Ordinary Life - check it out, and you have the likes of Bare Jr, Placebo, Skunk Anansie, Fatboy Slim.

Good shout on the OC too! AMAZING soundtrack, i sat through the list and downloaded everything that appealed to me and got into some pretty good bands through it, wikipedia has a list of all the songs included on it but it wont let me put the link here since i have less than 15 posts.

i really love the soundtrack of the movie a lot like love..
the song brighter than sunshine is very beautiful..=)

The soundtrack to the movie Kids had some good artists on it, even if it was only like 4 or 5 individual artists. Slint, Sebadoh, Folk Implosion, Lo-Down, Daniel Johnson. There were a few other artists who didn't appear on the soundtrack, but were featured in the movie like The Beastie Boys, Jeru the Damaja, A Tribe Called Quest, Artifacts, and even John Coltrane.

its almost compleatly Cat Stevens but its amazing

Garden State CLEARLY!!!
i fell in love with Garden State when it came out. such an amazing movie and the soundtrack was the perfect amount of new and old

(500) Days Of Summer
i dont know anyone elses take on the sountrack but i LOVE IT!

Whip IT
sound track is pritty decent. id mos def check it out

Martian Child
soundtrack is pretty awesome. again something to think about

Catch and Release
yeah wicked lame chick flick.... got it!!! but kevin smith is in it so stfu.
