I'd be surprised if Miami beat OKC.

Boston can play as a team sure, but they won't be beating OKC.

Sparky 06-08-2012 12:16 PM

it was endearing/ kinda awkward how the boston fans cheered to close out the game

It would have been a moment if the clock had just run out but there were like 3 trips to the free throw line and balls that went out of bounds and it just went on

FireWaterBurn 06-08-2012 01:07 PM

That was of the best performances in NBA history. If LeBron has the same demeanor and attitude Saturday night, Boston has no chance. I have a feeling Doc will write something up, but you can't double team LeBron like you can Wade so I don't know what they are gonna do. If you're the Celtics you want him shooting tough fadeaways but when he's in the zone there is nobody on Earth to stop him.

Don't think Heat could beat the Thunder. Thunder just have a better team. Of course there's never an answer for LeBron when he gets in the zone like last night, but that isn't a common occurance. Plus Thunder will have home court. Boston would stand no chance at all vs Thunder I don't think.

lobosenbolos 06-08-2012 04:14 PM

the thunder are unstoppable. If you watch any of their games, they know how to win, especially in the fourth quarter

Sparky 06-09-2012 01:20 AM

1.) paul pierce, dont play like a bitch
2.) ray allen put the ball in the hoop
3.) rajon make midrange jumpers
4.) rondo dont throw it out of bounds
5.) kg run more im sorry but u got 2 bro
6.) stevesma; doc rivers is racist, stevesma should get more minutes then marquis daniels
7.) foul lebron james, dude cant make free throws
8.) try to provoke chris bosh injury

7.)

Im ready for game 7 though. Gona be a tough one to win coming off that last slaughter and it being in Miami.

Think about moving up here, she looks like 32% of the women walking down the street

FireWaterBurn 06-10-2012 09:45 AM

Boston gets their due respect for a great series and playing the season with a lot of injuries. A great 5 year run for them that seems like it's coming to an end. Probably the end of KG and Allen in Boston.

Heat VS Thunder, this is one of the biggest Finals ever, I expect it to demolish every Finals TV rating. Pretty much a dream matchup since we never got to see Kobe-LeBron. Of course, LeBron will undoubtedly take too much heat and criticism and people will ignore the Thunder have a much better team if the Thunder indeed win

Thom Yorke 06-10-2012 11:03 AM

Haven't been this excited for a Finals in a long time. My head says Thunder in 6 but my gut says Heat in 7. And my heart hopes that they all have fun and no one gets hurt.

debaserr 06-10-2012 11:13 AM

I don't see why Boston should let go of Garnett, he's their best player. 2 years / 16 mil would be smart.

Thunder in 6, but I hope it goes 7. If Wade plays well Miami could easily take it. I assume LeBron will limit Durant to a high degree.

I never noticed that and I was born in Boston. Then again I lived there when I was younger so I probably didnt notice all the hunnies. So many colleges downtown so I suppose you would be right.

FireWaterBurn 06-11-2012 05:22 AM

It would be so huge for Miami to steal one of these first 2 games in OKC. I think Miami's best chance is to not let this get to a game 7 in OKC.

/captain obvious

I really just wanted to say that ESPN Classic has been running this hourlong documentary thing on Yao Ming and it is AWESOME. NBA fans, check it out if you see it on. It just chronicles him in China and his transition to the USA and covers his rookie season. Tons of footage you won't see anywhere else, and I have a ton more respect for what Yao went through after watching it. Really cool.

Sparky 06-11-2012 09:00 PM

I don't think you start bosh

I think you bring him off the bench to counter harden in scoring

This series should be exciting, lots of fast breaks and 3's

FireWaterBurn 06-11-2012 09:13 PM

I like Bosh coming off the bench too. Wonder if he will hit some 3's again. That was crazy last game. He was really smooth from 3 too. Heat are gonna need some big games from role guys in different games. Chalmers needs to be aggressive, Battier needs to hit 3s. Miller needs to knock down open shots when he's in.

I really wish Haslem would stop shooting though. Nigga takes too many contested baseline jumpers. I know that's his shot, but damn try a pumpfake once in awhile bro

Sparky 06-12-2012 05:24 PM

I predict OKC in 7.

Miami is going to have to play big, probably bring out joel anthony. This will cause problems with transition d, anthony is slowmo

Forward To Death 06-12-2012 05:37 PM

OKC in 6. I think they're the more complete team, and they beat the Spurs, who I thought were invincible going into the playoffs, and especially going into that series.

Sparky 06-12-2012 05:44 PM

hopefully kevin durant doesn't lose his ability to play basketball through some form of static combustion when giving the basketball to an innocent youthful fan

FireWaterBurn 06-13-2012 11:35 AM

Heat let one slip away there in the 2nd half, but it was a game Thunder were supposed to win having the rest and the energy of game 1 in their building. Game 2 is huge, and I think Miami will steal it. The whole series really relies on LeBron and Wade hitting jumpers, the Thunder will let them shoot Js all day. And last night nothing was even close to falling. LeBron went for 30 and I thought he played pretty average. That semi-transition crossover and dunk move of his if unguardable though, Heat need to run more (said by everyone at least 300 times this season).

I don't give coaches a lot of credit or blame usually, but Spo has gotta go next year. Again in the 2nd half Miami wasn't running much and relying on isolations. but the more egregious part was not having the 2nd half intensity and energy. Everyone on earth knew Thunder would come out crazy in the 2nd half and as usual Miami was playing YMCA energy level hoops. Heat have thrived on being pushed in the corner though, this series could be a great one i think

KD don't play.

Sparky 06-14-2012 10:19 PM

man kd is a baller when he hit that three to make it a 2 point game was cray

westbrook is a ferocious shooting guard trapped in a point guard cage

Great miami defense, and cole looks poised in the finals.

FireWaterBurn 06-14-2012 10:43 PM

I'm convinced if Durant show every single shot they may go undefeated for a decade, he hits everything lol. Almost had a heart attack after that steal and three. Heat got bailed out a little bit at the end, but they played a great game.

Of course, terrible Spoelstra didn't post LeBron a single time in the 2nd half though.

Cole's got mad squabbles boy. I like the way he plays, he just needs to be more of a knock down shooter. That's why I like Chalmers out there. BTW anyone notice how often everyone is always yelling at Chalmers lol

Sparky 06-14-2012 10:54 PM

im saying dude chalmers is secretly wack

I did like the double point guard play by spo though. Battier is shooting lights out, if only he could dribble a lil bit lol.

I think OKC is going to come out blazing after two slow starts. Great job by miami d, not even the spurs could stop the inevitabe OKC run but miami was able to cling on, thats good work.

It's later in the series, after wade bosh and bron have played a ton of minutes and are gassed that okc is gonna win.

Sparky 06-15-2012 11:38 PM

great i have nobody to talk about bball with no more

whats going on mods chill out for a second

Thom Yorke 06-18-2012 08:37 PM

Series is living up to the hype so far. I thought Bosh has looked really good, even if he's not putting up too many points. I think Miami will win game 4, OKC take 5 and 6, then Miami in 7.

Sparky 06-19-2012 05:11 PM

Miami has got a giant cushion thanks to battier and his ridiculous 3 point shooting right now.

KD isn't going to get into early foul trouble tonight, hopefully. Westbrook needs to run more screens and kick it out, but he doesn't need to do that if he scores a bunch.

Haven't been this into a series since Reggie Miller and Jalen Rose took on the shaq/kobe lakers

Agreed this is amazing. I dont really care about OKC but durant westbrook and hardin are straight ballers.

Sparky 06-19-2012 11:04 PM

i'm bummed out :(

okc really let this one go

Forward To Death 06-19-2012 11:57 PM

They win in Miami, they got 2 to go in OKC, and are right back in. Obviously, sucks that they now have to win out, but it ain't over yet.

Sparky 06-20-2012 12:22 AM

in the post game they said no team that has gone down 3-1 has even made it to a game 7, ever.

But i think they have a chance, especially since lebron and wade are getting beat up if they do make it to a game 7 they would probably be in better shape

anticipation 06-20-2012 12:24 AM

fuck james harden.

Forward To Death 06-20-2012 12:30 AM

Anyone else notice Harden looks almost exactly like Grady from Sanford & Son, except way younger.

midnight rain 06-20-2012 12:52 AM

only guy who looked like he wanted it tonight was westbrook, he took 14 more shots than durant, i think that pretty much says it all.

and where the **** is harden this series? only game he showed up in was game 2, and it didn't even matter in the end

one thing i don't want to happen

winning off other team's injuries = lame

Dr_Rez 06-20-2012 07:47 AM

Wade and Lebron will both be fine.

LoathsomePete 06-21-2012 09:13 PM

Stick a fork in OKC cause they are done.

Sparky 06-21-2012 09:37 PM

nothing you can do when everybody on miami is playing amazing :-/

lotsa bad possessions by okc on both ends, but honestly how do you keep your poise after that many 3's

Thom Yorke 06-21-2012 10:05 PM

****in' eh. Atta boy Lebron.
