Birdmannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn nnnnnnnnnnn

correct about riley. dude is a genius and i hope i look like him when i grow old. dude is a boss.

spoelstra really is a defensive guru but just has no idea whats hes doin on offense. its really frustrating watchin miami sometimes when they have several hall of famers on the court and nobody knows what they are doin. but credit to spo, he made great adustments in the finals (running pick and roll with lebron and chalmers).

if oden or beasley do anythin for miami its a huge bonus and if they do nothin they have the same team as last year.

and birdman is awesome

and i hope rose is healthy, i like him

Dr_Rez 09-18-2013 07:14 PM

Holy **** dude Greg Oden is on the Heat now???????????????????????

If he can play halfway healthy he is a ****ing beast. Man now that they are winning everyone wants to come play.

butthead aka 216 09-18-2013 07:19 PM

lol yep they grabbed oden too........ for the league minimum no less

That bulls heat game was sooooo boring. Tommorow has like 50 games so im looking forward to seeing the rockets play as well as the nets.

butthead aka 216 10-29-2013 11:25 PM

yea the heat game was underwhelming. i expected more with rose being back. and nobody really had any sick plays or amazing stat nights either

Primeval Scum 11-21-2013 02:27 AM

My Mavericks are actually off to a great start! We're looking at 9-4 by the weekend. We looked really good tonight, coming back and beating the Rockets 123-120 at home. Monta Ellis had 38 points and Dirk had 35 points himself! What a fantastic duo these two are becoming.

In other news, the Pacers look scary.

Paul Smeenus 11-21-2013 02:48 AM

Portland won it's 8th in a row tonight behind balanced scoring led by Aldridge and Lillard.

As good as they look now, every season has some turd of a team doing well, it wont last.

butthead aka 216 11-21-2013 01:38 PM

Why portland is winning: new offensive strategy. Never double in the post. Sprint at 3point shooters. Trade the easy 2 pointers instead of 3s. On offense shoot 3s.

Zero chance they keep this up. Shooting at all time record petcentages

I know. It's actually the #1 thing I hate about the NBA, it's a forgone conclusion that 90% of the league has zero chance at the title before the opening tip of the season.

The way I see it is that Spurs/Heat/Pacers have the only good chance of winning. The only other second options could be Bulls/OkC. Clippers are not to far behind but definitely not a championship team.

Honestly I see the Spurs definitly making it in the West again, while Miami/Pacer series will determine that. Basically a repeat of last year.

I agree. And IMO that's boring. No offense to NBA fans, I really only check in on the TrailBlazers from time to time. I was just surprised they were doing so well right now.

Well honestly I dont really care who wins, I just like watching good basketball. And their is more talent in the NBA right now than there has been in a while.

Dude, not saying Drake doesn't pack a fat wallet but even Paul Fucking Allen (net worth upwards of 16 billion) hasn't been able to buy a title in Portland

Mark Cuban bought it for the Mavs.

I would root for Satan's legions before I would root for OKC. I would even root for the Sonics over OKC if it were possible. I'm a TrailBlazers fan, the Sonics were our hated rivals but they had to BE here. When they moved to OKC they became the stinking puddle of virulent shit from hell.

The only time I went to Sonics games were when the Blazers played here, and I came to the games decked out in red and black. In fact I went to the "Save Our Sonics" rallies decked out in my TrailBlazers regalia. I have proof I was there, too

Like I said, I absolutely HATED the Sonics but they had to be here. Plus if they bring the Sonics back, and build the new arena, an NHL team might finally find a home in the stateside Pacific Northwest.

All I can say is great job picking Oden over Durant in the 2007 draft.

'Bowie Over Jordan': A New Look At The Pick That Still Haunts Portland NBA Fans : NPR

Thom Yorke 11-27-2013 10:04 AM

To be fair to Portland, Oden looked amazing at the time. Everyone thought he was the best since Lebron and he was supposed to be this generation's dominant center, and it's so rare to get an elite center like that.

Dulce 12-15-2013 04:40 AM

What's up with the Lakers?

Forward To Death 12-15-2013 05:58 AM

Greg Oden isn't a case of lacking skill, he's a case of not being able to stay healthy whatsoever. Dude's made of glass.

Paul Smeenus 12-15-2013 09:18 AM

Fecking Blazers put up 139 in Philly last night. True, the Sixers aren't very good, and Portland had wide open looks at the 3-point arc all night, but the fact is that they still drained 21 triples. That's hard to do even in a shootaround. They are now 19-4.

i know nobody is watching em, but the timberwolves have secretly developed one of the best centers in the league. Nikolai pekovic is avg 20 and 10 and the last few games is putting up 30+

Dude can't even jump

How has he not been cast in any mob/gangster film? He doesn't need to say anything. Im dead serious, he just screams being cast in something

im a huge nba fan, wish more were here. pek is awesome, just a total beast

Sparky 12-23-2013 06:16 PM

ricky's inability to shoot is serious. His field goal percentage is something like 19%, worst in the league if im not mistaken.

He's not even looking to shoot which is making it easier for defenders to double team. He may not have the career envisioned when he first came into the league if he seriously can't shoot the ball.

Pretty bad year for NBA unless your a heat, spurs, portland or pacer fan it seems like.

literally only maybe 6-7 legit title contenders with the knicks and nets bein so bad

thunder are under teh radar this year i think but are playin amazing

rubio gotta shoot better but at this point it might never happen. i agree its a huge problem for the wolves

Thom Yorke 12-23-2013 10:14 PM

Can't really get into the NBA at all this year. Just an awful year for the league if you try to look at it objectively.

A lack of parity has always been an issue but it's absolutely insane this year.

Yeah but I'm really groovin' on what my TrailBlazers have done so far. Yeah, they aren't gonna win a title, but compared to the past several years (really ever since Roy got hurt)...

6...7?

Heat Spurs Pacers....

Sure Okc, Portland, Gs are good but they can not hold up in a 7 game series against the top 3 teams. People complain but rarely in the nba are their more than 5 ACTUAL contender teams. I mean lots of good teams were had in the 90's and the bulls won that **** 6 times. The 80's had lots of good teams and the Lakers Celtics won pretty much everything except for the Pistons at the end.

Plus the Sixers in '83. And in the '90's it was the Houston "Thank-you-Michael-Jordan-for-trying-to-be-the-next-Bo-Jackson" Rockets, otherwise the Bulls would've had eight trophies.

Which is exactly why the NBA is my least favorite of the four major leagues. That and it's such a "star" driven league.

But I'll always love myTrailBlazers. But it's a love like you might have for a total knucklehead little brother. You *have* to love 'em but constantly smfh over the completely sub-moronic shit they pull.

Big surprise Bynum is not working out in Cleveland. Guy is a bigger head case than World Peace. Clippers and Heat should run screaming from him.

And Paul, I'm a Nuggets fan but Portland is looking good. I will root for them over Miami or the thunder any day.
