I got pretty rattled about the whole Iginla to Boston thing. That was handled very unprofessionally by both Feaster and Iginla. I'm over it now though as Jagr came at better value and he may in fact be better for this team than Iginla would have been. It was funny to watch the one PP that Jagr has been a part of on the Bruins; it already looks infinitely better. His puck possession game is still unreal, and he was able to work the puck down low like nobody's business. Also glad to see that Julien knows what he has in Jagr and it looks like he'll put him on for close to the full two minutes every time.

All that being said, the Bruins will not be able to do anything without Bergeron. He's literally the Bruins best forward in pretty much every facet of the game. Even though the Bruins have great depth at forward, this is a loss that they simply won't be able to take in stride. I have no idea when he'll be back, but I don't want them to rush anything. He's too important to lose long-term.

It really sucks to see Bergeron go out again. Such a huge talent, and to probably be nagged for his entire career with head injuries is a real shame.

Heard something pretty wild today on 1040. A little bit of Trade Deadline Karma..
Apparently the hockey gods aren't into teams tinkering their lineups at the deadine.

Pittsburgh acquires Morrow, Murray, and Iggy at the deadline...Before Iginla even has his first shift, Crosby takes a puck to the mouth and is out indefinitely. Two games later, James Neal takes an elbow from Del Zotto and is out indefinitely as well. Both likely to miss the rest of the season and possibly more.

St. Louis makes trades to strengthen up their back end. Picks up Bouwmeester and Jordan Leopold.. Their first game after the trades, Halak goes down with an injury and will miss the rest of the season.

Minnesota trades for Jason Pominville at the deadline. Heatly needs Shoulder Surgery and will miss the rest of the season.

Boston trades for Jagr at the deadline and Patrice Bergeron has another concussion from a hit that will have him out for the season..and with his track record..perhaps a lot longer.

Some of the teams who made the biggest moves at the deadline have apparently paid for it...from some higher power haha.

Watching the Blackhawks/Wild game last night. Everytime they said "Stoner" we had to drink. Rough night.

Clayton Stoner is from the northern tip of Vancouver Island, Port Hardy. About 4 hours north of where I live and grew up.

Yeah, because of the lockout there were no eastern conference vs western conference games this year. They'll be moving to the east next season so you'll be seeing a lot of the Jackets.

Yeah but even before that I only saw them play Toronto once. And I was at that game, haha!

They've been a basement dwelling team ever since they've joined the league, but this is the first good team they've ever had and are knocking on the door of the playoffs.

There was a terrible tragedy there a few years back, a girl in the stands was hit by a puck and she didn't make it. :(
