Finally something interesting is happening this playoffs. Really hoping the Devils embarrass the Kings here.

Yeah same here, at first I was kind of resigned to the Kings taking it in 4 and then when the Devils won game four I thought they were just delaying the inevitable, but now with two wins behind them I think they might have a shot. It'd be nice for Brodeur to retire with a Stanley Cup.

Not to mention going out with his first Conn Smythe as well.

lets go wild!

I don't know anything about hockey except the game itself but i hear we got some super beasty guys and are going to win the championship!

I'd shoot for the playoffs with that roster. Parise and Suter were great pickups but babysteps my friend.

At least you have some spirit! People in Toronto have pretty much lost all hope for the Leafs (although they still sell out seats).

Don't get your hopes up too high though. Minnesota's getting stronger but they are far from being the best team in the NHL at the moment.

It blows me away that Toronto and Burke haven't been able to get the ball rolling in arguably the best hockey market in the NHL. Questionable drafts and free agent pickups don't help.

I really wish Canuck fans would move onto this stage of grief. I mean you can still support the team, but c'mon guys don't kid yourselves.

They overpaid for both (you kind of have to in UFA though) but I really like the Suter signing. Top 5 d-man in the league. I think Parise is one of the most overrated players in the league though. That contract is gonna kill them.

?

Weber
Chara
Keith
Karlsson
Doughty
Yandle

Are all better than Suter, who has not only benefitted from arguably the best defenseman in the league now that Lidstrom retired (Weber) but from the overall defensive style that Nashville plays. I see the move to get both of them as a PR coup, but in terms of on-ice production MIN still has a ways to go. Their best players before these signings were two-way savant Mikko Koivu, the ghost of Dany Heatley, and the streaky-at-best Setoguchi. They were planning on having 4 rookies on the roster a week ago, so I think they're going to need to upgrade their overall offensive depth before anyone starts talking about a deep run for Minnesota.
