Probably means nothing to anyone here but he really was my generation's oiler and the tributes/standing o's and such were outstanding. Just an unreal showing all around. Even the Canucks came back on the ice and individually gave him handshakes and hugs and stuff. He was also on the ice for like 95% of the powerplays in the game which was awesome (he ended up being tied for the franchise record for ppgs). Dang I'm crying just thinking about it.. they better retire his number

The only Canucks game I ever attended was the day Trevor Linden was traded (it was over 15 years ago so my memory is a little foggy but I wanna say it was against the Oilers). There was a palpable sense of emotion in that game as well.

I didn't go to the game for any specific reason, I was just up there on vacation enjoying that beautiful city and decided to go to the game, to date the only NHL game I've been to. I'm really hopeful about getting a team here.

ughgughg the minny Colorado series is giving me headaches. avs are the worst team in the playoffs imo but the wild have bryz as their starter and varlamov has played really well this year. At any rate this series is going to suck and one bad team is going to the next round while sj-la duke it out in the battle of the best.

Realistically they usually play tight series historically. However the Ducks are gonna steamroll them this year. Their depth is starting to show again. I haven't seen one person pick The Stars to win this series less you. You can be a fan all you like, but reality will set in.

For someone in Cali you seem to be pretty quick to forget the 2011 kings.

They were a seventh seed, I remember well. They also had Quick in net and a stellar defense. I just don't see an upset happening, but I understand rooting for your team and hoping for the best. I'm hoping for the best also. This is the best Ducks team they've had since 2007, and They weren't too shabby that year. I'll see you around the hockey thread in a few days and we can compare notes and such.

D'oh I meant 2012 kings haha
