I'm thinking so, and if not it definitely won't go more than 5. Detroit is just too good. It's like 6 on 5 for them the whole game. And if it come down to stops, Osgood is just better than Fleury. I like Fleury, and he's had some bad bounces go against him so far this series, but he gives up way too many rebounds. Osgood rarely if ever has to stop a second shot.

eh, i'm pretty sour about that game. especially since it's the second time in a row the Penguins have outshot the Wings and not had anything to show for it.

the Hossa on Dupuis slash non-call at the end of the second was garbage though, glad the game didn't end on the resulting goal.

I didn't get to see game 1, but I thought the refs overall tonight were terrible. I still have no idea how Detroit managed to get a 5 on 3 at the end of the game, I get that you call both Penguins guys (although that was hilarious when the guy just poked his stick out and knocked Osgood down), but I'm 99.9% positive the Detroit guy (had headphones in so didn't catch who) was going after it just as bad as the Pittsburgh guy.

I've been telling people for the past 14 years, as they made fun of me for being a fan, that the Red Wings = greatest team ever.

I am so glad I am such a winner.

The Penguins have been the better team through four games

But can they win in Detroit?

lucifer_sam 06-04-2009 09:14 PM

i thought you'd never admit it. :D

to me it's just a matter of the bounces going one way or another. the Staal shorthanded goal tonight was just as unlikely as Abelkader's back-to-back point games. the series is where it should be now, and with a swing in momentum i can see the series in either team's favor, depending on what happens in the next game.

the NHL must be loving this.

How dare you, I call it like it is.

from what i hear he was uncharacteristically unproductive through the first three series.

from what i've seen so far, it's complete bullshit that Darren Helm is a fourth line man. he is easily the most productive young player on the Detroit team.

Helm is playing well, but the veteran guys ahead of him were solid all season.

Datsyuk wasn't scoring a lot be his the best defensive forward in the game. Zeterberg is wearing down and Malkin has been running free all series. The third and fourth goals tonight never happen if he is healthy.

The Wings looked so unwing-like the last two games. All the credit goes to Pittsburgh for outplaying them. Whoever wins game 5 wins the series in my opinion. No way Wings win game six in Pittsburgh down 3-2 and no way Pens win game 7 in Detroit.

Whatdya think?
