So happy that Payton is getting suspended, although it still doesn't make up for what happened in '09.

Vikings outplayed the Saints and nearly won even with the ref one-sidedness and cheap hits. I'm bitter, and there's no punishment that can satisfy especially Vikings as well as Cardinals fans. However, this at least teaches a lesson to every team that pulls the same crap. The team should have been made an example of, and had an asterisk placed on the title, but this'll do.

Absolutely thought I could have less respect for a team, but the fact that they rewarded dirty play brings them to a new low.

Hey, the Colts lost to them in those same playoffs.

Forward To Death 03-22-2012 12:03 AM

The Colts got whooped, the Vikings almost beat them regardless. Not nearly as many late hits as there were on Favre and Warner either.

I don't remember a whooping.

I've tried to block it from my memory. I still haven't watched a replay.

Wasn't old school football all about trying to injure and hurt the other team? The bounty thing is bothersome, but i think the league overreacted in a way it wouldn't have years ago.

I blame chilly for the loss as well as some fluke ap fumbles, but honestly i dont really know how we lost that game, losers just find ways to lose. I just learned today the bills went to the superbowl 4 times in a row and lost everytime lol.

No, the.league through the old game out the window when they started to make rules surrounding interference and ****. Now you cant even touch a receiver without getting a flag.

The bounties is rewarding cheating with money, and essentially says that we don't want to play by the rules, so we'll just take a few shots at a 40 year old guy's legs. Also, the game used to and still does emphasize big hits. The Ravens and Steelers teach it. However, there have always been some codes. It's always been considered nasty to tackle at the knees or focus body parts. Same with late hits.
