do yall think the Texans can get to the superbowl this year no one seems to be picking them I think the patriots will finnnnalllyyy have a down year and the Texans will fill that void

debaserr 06-25-2013 11:50 PM

Nope. I think the short term future of the Broncos is bright. Can't wait for the season.

Texans will probably be in the mix every year. Broncos do look good though. I think those are the two best teams in the AFC. As for the NFC, I think it'll be a battle between the 49ers and the Seahawks, with the Packers always being a threat as well.

Bernard Pollard is the angel of death for the Patriots...

From the Boston Herald
Quote:

Would it surprise you to learn that safety Bernard Pollard — who looms large in nearly every disaster to befall the Patriots over the past five years — is also a footnote in the Aaron Hernandez saga?

Pollard, of course, is the guy who tore up Tom Brady’s knee in 2008 and was about to dive into Wes Welker when Wes blew out his ACL in 2010. Pollard also tackled Rob Gronkowski in the 2011 AFC Championship game, spraining 87’s ankle and crippling him for the Super Bowl. And in last season’s AFC title tilt he concussed running back Stevan Ridley with a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit.

Well then, it should come as no surprise that, according to the Twitterverse, Pollard was the last guy to tackle Hernandez in that very same AFC Championship game. According to the box score, Pollard hit Hernandez on a third-and-10 late in the fourth quarter of the Patriots last game of the 2012-2013 season — and probably the last play of 81’s career.
I didn't believe it until I checked here.

yeah I don't even care if we win the SB this year has long has we win it in HOuston in 2 years that would be nice well maybe this year 2013 and another in 2015 that would be nice

but I think Mcnair dream is for the Texans to be a great team year in and year out like make the playoffs like for the next 10+ years

You Texans fans are delusional. Teams don't really win rings without elite QB play.

ehhh if eli manning and joe flacco can win it. i dont see why matt cant

if u compare joe flacco to matt schaub there not to far apart infact in terms of mechanics there kinda the same type of qb

debaserr 06-28-2013 03:54 PM

It doesn't matter one lick what type of QB it is. Can they get in done in January or not. Schaub seems to be a no, and Flacc / Eli proved themselves early on.

butthead aka 216 07-31-2013 06:09 PM

norg is right there isnt a big difference between schaub and flacco

superbowl wins by qbs are a little over rated

if the denver safety doesnt horribly misplay that flacco deep ball then the ravens dont even go to the superbowl, yet flacco still played the same game. its like the nba. if ray allen doesnt hit that mircale 3 in game 6 of the finals, lebron is trashed but he still played the exact same game

anyways anyone see the riley cooper thing?? he used the N word. that is terrible but i think herm edward said it best by saying it was hurtful and dumb and offensive but also that ppl make mistakes. i hate that ppl are gonna make this out to be a huge deal, his press conference today was absurd with questions like 'are you now a marked man?

Forward To Death 08-01-2013 02:58 AM

Except that Matt Shaub has **** the bed in the playoffs, whereas guys like Eli and Flacco have played their best football in the postseason. I don't see where there's an argument to be made, Matt Shaub is a decent QB who'll most likely only win a SB if the team around him picks him up. He isn't the kind of QB who can carry a team on his back.
