Ball game. As ugly as this game is, Denver's defense have earned this Championship, I couldn't be happier for Payton.

Chula Vista 02-07-2016 08:12 PM

Now he can retire in style before he does more damage to his body.

Von Miller hands down MVP.

Maybe Cam will gain some humility now. He's been insufferable all season

PavementRunner 02-07-2016 09:05 PM

Yay! It's baseball season now!😀

Ya, and we can start watching grass grow in a couple of months.

Paul Smeenus 02-07-2016 09:37 PM

Baseball rules, that's why I started the thread. Guess it's time to bump it...

Chula Vista 02-07-2016 10:12 PM

Did ya see the Cam Newton post game press conference? Learn how to lose with class Cam. Right now you're a petulant man child. Team leader?

FaSho 02-08-2016 08:15 AM

Stop with the post-game interview bull****. Everyone thought it was cool when Lynch did the exact same thing.

I'm as big a Marshawn fan was you'll ever find, but it's hard for me to agree with the above statement, Marshawn took a ton of heat from the media last year.

Having said that, while I'd like everyone to give gracious Payton Manning concession speeches, everyone is their own person. Cam was there because he had to be, I don't think he was as much ungracious as just bitterly disappointed. I won't judge him too harshly for not jumping up and down and giving us the big yippee skippee for losing the SB. If he had told everyone to go f*ck themselves that'd be different.

Yes Fred, you got it right, I was wrong. I've never been happier to be wrong. :)

It was horrible to watch honestly. The worst offensive game i've seen in many moons. Additionally I won 50 in bets and hit a square for 175 in the first quarter. Got trashed also which isn't boding well for Monday.

Paul Smeenus 02-08-2016 09:25 AM

Fah, f*ck Mondays anyway

Plankton 02-08-2016 10:18 AM

Super Bowl 50 summation:

Spoiler for this is not meant as an exclamation of excitement:

Marshawn has been like that forever. Win or lose.

Cam is supposedly the team leader, the face of the franchise, etc. etc. etc. He's quite the proud peacock at the podium when he's winning. He needs to learn the other side of the coin before he'll have my true respect.

Everyone hates to lose. Everyone is disappointed when they do. You swallow all that for those few minutes in front of the world press. You thank your teammates for a great season. You congratulate the other team. You stand there and take it like a man if you are a true leader.

Ron Rivera needs to work on teaching this to him, and the team in whole. That whole mugging for a group sideline picture while there is still time on the clock in a game is classless. IMO.

Who's smiling now?

Norg 02-09-2016 05:57 PM

Cam just said yall are LOSERS

and wont change I guess he hates losing and hates talking to media after a game

He should go all Lynch and just say one word answers LOL

Tom Brady of New England Patriots has four-game suspension for Deflategate reinstated by appeals court

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 04-25-2016 04:01 PM

This is ridiculous as far as I'm concerned, it's over now and it would be nice if it could be put in the past. I completely disagree with having Brady serve a suspension for something that happened two seasons ago.

So, it didn't happen?

Key 10-16-2016 03:37 PM

Seahawks are killing Atlanta today. Q2 14-3. Definitely playing better this season.

I had to promote the new album m8.

Seahawks and Cardinals ended in a 6-6 tie due to both teams failing to kick a final field goal in overtime. What a game, but sad that it ended in a tie.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 10-24-2016 02:59 PM

Hey, on the bright side at least they aren't the 9ers.

Or the Browns for that matter. They're 0-7.

FRED HALE SR. 01-13-2017 09:46 AM

Dallas>Green Bay- Dallas by a field goal, ball control

Atlanta>Seattle- High powered birds by a touchdown

Pitt>KC- Its a pickem game, I like Pitts running game with Bell and Big Ben

NE>Houston- Easy win for Tom Slick by ten

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 01-13-2017 01:06 PM

Dallas vs Green Bay is the biggest toss-up imo, will definitely be an interesting one.

No doubt. Aaron Rodgers is a beast when he gets time to throw. No Jordy Nelson though doesn't help and Montgomery is hobbling but will start. Dallas kind of abused them the first meeting however.

Key 01-13-2017 01:19 PM

It's going to be an incredible set of playoff games.

Electrophonic Tonic 01-13-2017 10:01 PM

Saturday

Falcons 34 Seahawks 23

This version of the Seahawks are just not the same on the road, especially without Earl Thomas. It took a sketchy no PI call for the Seahawks to beat the Falcons in Seattle, and that game was with Earl Thomas. The Falcons defense is competent, and the offense is nearly unstoppable at home.

Patriots 31 Texans 18

I wouldn't be shocked if the Texans went all out in the first quarter on both sides of the ball and actually had the lead at the end of the first quarter. Darth Belichick shrugs and the Pats put forth a B- effort and win comfortably. Texans get a backdoor cover (+15.5) on a garbage time TD.

Sunday

Packers 33 Cowboys 31

Last team to have the ball wins. Both defenses are not that good, and both offenses will have a field day. Aaron Rodgers does Aaron Rodgers ****, and that's the difference.

Steelers 22 Chiefs 21

I honestly think this game is better than Packers/Cowboys. This game has the makings of 1970's NFL Films classical orchestration highlights of players getting absolutely wrecked on every other play. It's about as even of a matchup you'll ever see. Roethlisberger has been quietly kinda bad the last few weeks, but Bell and Brown will easily compensate for that. I don't think there's anything wrong or a glaring weakness for the Chiefs, but the Steelers hold on, concluding what will be considered one of the best days of playoff football in NFL history.

Chula Vista 01-15-2017 06:10 PM

Unbelievable game. Aaron Rodgers is an absolute freak when flushed out of the pocket.

djchameleon 01-15-2017 10:01 PM

Damn pretty good predictions on both games. I had a feeling I was going to enjoy the Steelers game a bit more than the Cowboys Packers game even though it was super close.

Indeed. The Dallas / Green Bay game was one of the best I've seen in the playoffs in years.

There's been 50 Super Bowls and Pittburgh, Green Bay, and New England have each participated in 8 of them. That is pretty nuts.

One of those 3 teams will walk away from next weekend with the new record of 9.
