Revis has shown for one season that he is the best corner in the league, and now he is asking for the largest contract in NFL history ($160M). I realize that none of that is guaranteed, but still... Just because Al Davis overpaid Asomugha does not mean that Revis should be paid more than most elite QBs.

Revis would make the D a wholeeee lot better, but I- like a lot of the team and coaching staff- am ready to move on without the dude if that's what he chooses. Cromartie and Wilson appear poised.

Hey if you wanna move on without him, send him to the Vikings :)

What I said was just an opinion really, The Packers have a terrible O-Line and the Packers still put up good numbers in Both the pass and run game. So to me it seems it would be more prudent to stop the pass game. But thats why all coaches have different philosophies, another to each his own situation I suppose eh?

Also I didn't know how much money he wanted. I just know he deserves more than hes making.

Last note, the NFL really should cap their contracts or this is gunna get outta hand. Every player wants to be the highest paid at their positions, that can't go on forever...

It really would be, they need to implement some rules or things are going to get way outta hand. They better cap their contracts or someone's gunna end up with 200m guaranteed and that team won't have enough to sign anyone....

He still got sacked 50 times, they aren't that good. And ya some of those are the QB's fault but still. That lines not very good, maybe not the worst in the league but I wouldn't say they're in the top half of the best either.

Packers had the worst O-line is football last season. I can only hope they've made some improvement this year. They have a few new rookies and a few veterans coming back so hopefully they can pull it together. I wouldn't blame it all on Rodgers, he gets rid of the ball faster than most other QB's in the league.

debaserr 08-29-2010 02:58 PM

there is no chance that the team with the worst O line would ever be that good offensively...

I'm really excited for the Broncos' season to start, but I'm already fed up with hearing Tim Tebow's (not just Tebow, that would be too tolerable to say.) name. I watched one preseason game, and heard an overflow of Tim Tebow. He threw an interception, then tackled the guy. That was the biggest highlight on my NFL mobile update. REALLY?!

Ugh.

Also, in other news, the Irish did well against Purdue. Looked destructive towards the end of the game, but their defense was DIRTY. I loved it. The spread offense with focus on the run game seems to really work in their favor. I'm praying for a season that will help Notre Dame regain some long-lost glory.

new season is underway within the hour. i feel predicty.

division winners:

nfc east: dallas, but i really don't have a strong opinion on it.

west: san fran, because they are the best of the crappy bunch.

north: green bay, rodgers for mvp.

south: atlanta, turner is due for a big bounce back year and ryan should be better.

afc east: new york, but i'm not too sure on this either.

west: san diego

north: cincinnati, palmer decides to play.

south: indy
