I do not know why I have never put hot sauce on it. Seems obvious now.

Honestly if I'm adding hot sauce to cheap **** or **** that's gonna smother the taste I just use good ol Louisiana hot sauce. Cheaper than dirt and doesn't taste like pure vinegar like Texas Pete.

Yeah I don't **** with Campbell's soup. If I'm paying more than two dollars a meal it's store brand pizza.

Like, it's good tired but at levels I don't remember experiencing though I've been lifting for years.

Does it make sense that I never used those muscles even though I've done back day consistently?
This is extremely weird. Your back shouldn't be the limiting factor in bench press, it just needs to stabilize your upper body. Either your back is very underdeveloped compared to your front or you are using some weird bad form that makes your back muscles cramp up in some.way. I CG bench press all the time and never had any back sensations different from normal bench press.

Discussed this with a trainer, he says it's down to two things: the bench press load going up from just one type of bench press to two, which is a significant increase, AND the fact that of the back exercises I've done since the pandemic ended I prioritized wide grip lat pulldowns and deadlifts, more or less neglecting to include close-grip pulldowns or any of the dumbbell stuff that works out the trapeziuses and rhomboids. These things can happen when you're not a pro, though my form is good overall.

Workout #198 is finished! my body is hurting lol
Using my lift bar and doing;

- deadlifts
- curls
- overhead lifts
- situps
- squats

It's a good soreness, and not too much to make it wear I can't do anything today. I'll probably be sore for a while. Going to run 2 miles at the gym today too! (That'll be workout #197).

Drinking lots of water will help alleviate the soreness. Also, giving your body time to recover is just as important as the workouts. When you exert your muscles enough to be sore, whats happening is that you're ripping the tendons in your muscles apart. When they have enough time to heal, more tissue/protein gets filled into the rips of the muscle and that builds bulk and strength. Thats kinda my amateur understanding of it anyway.

I'm still on my five-day routine of light weights and calisthenics after starting about 16 months or so ago. It's as much a part of my day as anything else, and I don't even want to think about where I'd be if I hadn't pushed myself to keep it going. I sit at a desk for at least 8 hours a day and most times more than that because of my projects, so having something to counter that keeps me moving.

It also gives me that healthy, youthful glow.
