Runners thread

Any runners on here? I had stopped running for a few months due to bad knees, but I've been gong to physiotherapy, and i am now starting walking to build up to running.
I bought some cool new runners today so I'm feeling pumped and motivated to get some muscles back in my legs! Anyone wanna talk running?

I used to go for a small 6km run every morning but I started getting knee problems so my physio told me to swim instead! Running is pretty bad for your joints so... no more running for me.

I need to get some new runners myself. I don't technically run though more like endurance jogging. I go jogging every other day and when i'm feeling ambitious I will take the time out to jog across a bridge near by. The whole run is a total of 5 miles.

I'm on my highschool's cross country team :o:
I can run a 400 in 82 seconds, and a 3000 in 12 minutes. Not spectacular, but good enough considering i've only been running a lot for two weeks.

Only from the 5-0.

I only run when it comes to school events. I don't recall a lot of my times, but I know I can run a 14 second 100 meter and a 29 second 200 meter. Not that great, but only a couple of my friends can match/exceed it.

I do cross country too, but I have no idea how fast/well I do with that.

I ran 400 in HS, personal best was :57.3 but that was along time ago, and I was 170 compared to my 235 now. Stick with track and cc though, they are the best sports in High School.

I run pretty regularly, usually variations of the same route. Need to plot some more! Usually range from 5-10km which is a nice distance for the evening. I find it a good way of winding down, escapism and a good excuse for a playlist! I love it when you find a song that perfectly matches your pace and you can stride to the beat.

As track running goes I used to do 100m in 12-13 seconds but that was a good 5 years ago now. I now play less and less sport so use jogging/running as a way to keep fit and at least curb the weight gain which is inevitably going to happen. Not stop, maybe alter the gain from exponential to arithmetic. Here's hoping.

Yes well, hopefully I can strengthen up the muscles to protect my knees so I can run. I am an inefficient swimmer so I find I get really tired swimming laps. Running suits me, so hopefully I can get back into it.
