I don't think Spain and Portugal have ever met in the world cup finals before either, so that'll be a pretty interesting one.

Definitely gonna be watching USA-Ghana tonight as well - has potential to be a very good game that.

Knockout stages start here. I couldnt be more excited. I quite fancy a convincing Uruguay win here but this stage of the competition is often just too difficult to predict.

What an absolute howler from the Korean keeper just now. Seemed like he almost pulled out of the way of that cross as it came into Suarez. Smart finish from an angle though.

Good pace to the game so far, I just hope South Korea can find the energy to get back into it and make things more interesting.

From a footballing perspective It would be great if Uruguay go through whereas Sth Korea will look just to survive.

The keeper was in no-mans land, i dont understand what he was doing when he pulled out of it. He must not have known Suarez was there, which is bad goalkeeping in itself if he was leaving that to go wide.

The defending was just as bad. He just walked through the defence, there wasn't anybody anywhere near him.

Yeah, I'd prefer Uruguay to go through too, but it'd be dead boring if the game just petered out into a borefest after this. A late Korean equaliser and Uruguayan win on penalties will do nicely.

Even more worrying for them, they're just not looking like getting anything out of this game. Hopefully there'll be an improvement this second half though.

Thankfully he didn`t.

Without doubt Suarez`s best match so far. Forlan-Suarez-Cavani and if all three click they can score against anybody.

It'd be an interesting prospect if we had 3 South American teams in the semis, an appealing change from the usual 3 European sides plus Brazil considering how good the likes of Argentina,Uruguay,Brazil and Chile have been.

What a goal from Suarez eh. Pretty good game as well - the Koreans actually played some very positive attacking football back there. The better team went through in the end though, no doubt about that.

I think it'd be really interesting seeing a more continentally-balanced couple of semi-finals too, more specifically Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay - surprise packages of the tournament who are actually good enough to deserve being there. So, yeah, England-Paraguay in the semi-final please
