I think there's a lot of posturing on both sides. If you have seen any of Sports Illustrated's Peter King's recent articles on Roger Goodell you can tell he is trying to portray him as this great guy and stuff. Cause both sides wanna have the public support but I feel like everyone gets irritated when millionaire's are arguing over money. I've said before that I don't know all the issues and what they are discussing but I'll always side with the players cause they are the guys who actually go out there and risk their bodies and spend the entire year busting their asses in the gym. The NBA collective bargaining agreement is also going to be up, so it should be interesting to see what happens with that as well cause I know a lot of owners are going to try to find a way to keep control of their star players because of these "superteams" forming.

I like the combine stuff but it kinda bores me after awhile. I like seeing who's stock rises and falls but watching guys continuously run sprints and catch balls gets boring for me. One of my best friends is HUGE into the combine. Him and his Dad go to the NFL Draft every year and he makes full 7 round mock drafts every year. So he's gotten me into it a little bit more. Draft day is always fun though, something to look forward to

I would say that the incentive should be the love of the game and the fans. Football is at an all time high as far as popularity right now. Why would you not want to come to an agreement? I think the longer they wait the more damage to the game they do. Which n turns affects their payckecks..which is what all this is about in the first place. March 3rd is the end of the agreement thats in effect now. An extension or new agreement hasnt shown any signs of life yet. As a true fan of the game I would like to see both sides give a little and get this issue resolved. Besides weve got a new coach and need all the prep time we can get in. To learn to mesh together as a team and all the other offseason things you do to get ahead of the game.

As far as the combine this weekend nobody really blew me away. I was mostly interested in watching Cam Newton as so was everyone else. There was a lot of speculation in regaurds to his capabilities as a Q.B. and whether or not it was a good choice for him to do the combine. I didnt see anything wrong in his throwing mechanics at all. His delivery was accurate and fluent. The only thing I saw that he was doing awkward was his 7 step drop. Of course in college a big percentage of the teams work out of the shotgun so theres never any practice on your drop backs. Im not exzactly sure what kind of offense Auburn runs but with a great athlete like Cam I would imagine your standard option would be my guess. I saw on the news here Dallas might have been interested in him so I did my own little investigation on if I approve.(like it matters but ehh) Overall id say a Cam Newton draft may not ba a bad thing. I had my doubts on him but with a little polishing on the rough around the edges parts. I think Cam will excell as well as any Q.B. ever has. We already know mentally he has the capabilities of tuning out negativity with the whole scandal thing this last season. Even with that hanging over him he managed to still win the national championship and the heisman trophy. In the Nfl this is definatley a good trait to have because we all know the love of critisism the media loves to throw out there and turn the smallest thing into a distraction.
As far as anyone else nothing really caught my eye. A few tight ends had an exceptional vertical leap. A tight end may be in the works for my team in the future but no real sense of urgency at the moment. I think our secondry is in desperate need of some help. I cant figure out Jerry's methods of drafting and signing. I mean these high profile receivers are great to have (when they do their job) but if your deffense cant stop anyone..whats the point? Stop the bleeding already and sign a free safety and some good corners. The deffense as a whole needs a leader on the field and the locker room.

the Draft didn't rounds didn't happen yet did they?

I hope I didn't miss them.

Also like I said. They can't view playbooks for some strange reason until an agreement is reached so they need to figure out something soon.

No this was just an exibition of players showing their abilitys to raise their draft status. Or not..some players choose not to participate thinking that will help their odds. Im not sure of the exzact date of the draft. Isnt usually in late April? You havent missed anything yet man. Im always worried what hair brained train of thought the Cowboys front office will have come draft day. This year we have a 9th pick in the first round. Theres talk of Amukamara also being sought after for the draft. Im really thinking safety would be the route to go though. Even though if we did draft him I woudnt be disappointed. You never know what the outcomes going to be but I just hope its not something totally bone headed.

Yeah, April, draft is the 28th. Prince Amukamura would probably be the best bet if you are hoping for a safety in the first round, as there are not really any impressive stand out safeties this year, and if anything you could hope they convert him. Many mocks I have seen have the Bills taking Newton, which I do not want at all. Ideally we take Pat Peterson (CB) and if not him I would say a nice 3-4 pass rushing DE/OLB, but we just signed Shawn Merriman for 2 yrs, Hopefully he stays healthy. If we dont go Peterson, I would not be too mad with Von Miller or Da'quan Bowers.

Have you watched any of the combine? It is pretty boring so I can only watch bits of it. Some of the top prospects are rockin' under armour that can monitor heart rate and G's exerted, which is alot more antertaining to me than watching Cam Newton overthrow his receiver every play. The 40 is alright to watch and thats about it.

For testing I like watching the vertical jump too. As for the drills, the gauntlet is pretty sweet.

Yeah I dont know that much about Prince though. If we were going to move someone id just move Terrance Newman. His tackling has improved tremendously the last couple of years and he has put on some muscle mass as well. Unfortunatley he has lost a step it seems. I think he could make the transformation to safety fairly well with his size and tackling capabilities. Coming up in the box to stop the run and things of that nature should be no problem. Long as his mind doesnt blow up when they go running different schemes and coverages. Everybody in the NFL knows you can throw the deep ball on Dallas. Its depressing because you know its going to happen and there is nothing they can do to stop it. Ater the fact their all standing around pointing fingers and playing the blame game. Or some of them just flat out get burned one on one without blowing a coverage.

As far as your Bills go dont yall have a franchise Q.B. already? I havent really heard that much on them other than that new star receiver yall got. Shawn Merriman should be a nice edition to any teams deffense...hoping of course he stays healthy and passes all his drug tests. Who's in the Bills division in the AFC?

As far as the watching the combine like I said other than watching Cam and a couple other Q.B.'s and tight ends. I didnt see anything mind blowing or that impressive. Nobody was breaking any records in the 40 that im aware of or anything. Im guessing itll be a while before another Chris Johnson or Deon Sanders comes along and sets new records.

Bills have Ryan Fitzpatrick, who is not really a franchise guy, but I wouldn't mind using our picks to build around him. He is a smart player and can put points on the board. Buffalo has Miami, New England, and the Jets in their division.

The owners have way too much power. They can move teams at will, blackout games, bad owners can't be removed easily and obviously players can be forced to keep with teams even when out of contract. They get easy cash from the NFL monopolies they are given in particular areas and aren't always that connected to either the location or maybe even the game sometimes, it's more like an ego trip to be in charge of an NFL team.

Being from Pittsburgh the whole Harrison thing is a load of ****. Although I guess they have to make an example out of someone.

My problom is with making every sport so ****ing safe that the fun and excitment is taken out of it. In my opinion if your making 10 million a year WITHOUT the risk of big injury THEN **** YOU.

And for all you people saying but they only live to 60 blah blah blah...Well they deleted to be a pro athlete and make a ****load of money instead of sit at home and eat vitamins. So why should we baby them while they get millions of our cities tax dollars for new stadiums.
