First of all that was a fluke play by Manziel so dont go gettin all giddy like he did something. Second of all, barring a miracle performance by Georgia, Alabama is still going to be in the championship game again. Then probably go on to win the championship game again. Depending on wins the game I'm watching now between Notre Dame and Usc, will decide who they play against.
The one thing A&M can be proud of is that they did in fact hand Alabama their one loss. Other than that there is not much else to be ranting about imo.

blastingas10 11-24-2012 09:01 PM

****, I couldn't care less about bama winning the championship or not. If youve been a die hard aggie fan your whole life, you'd understand where I'm coming from. Seeing my team come so far this season. Only two losses against Florida and lsu by a combined 8 points. Beat bama. The aggies proved this year that they can compete with anyone in the country and give them a run for their money, and can even beat the number 1 team. There's plenty to rant about.

PS: that play by Manziel was no fluke. If you've watched him play this year you would know that he makes plays like that nearly every game. That's why he is the number one contender for heisman (according to espn), but manti teo will probably win it. Hes the best quarterback in the nation right now, only the 5th player to ever throw for over 3,000 yards and rush for over 1,000. He's broken multiple SEC records already. That's the SEC, the same conference that featured quarterbacks like cam newton and Tim tebow.

Quit raining on my parade, guys. I have plenty to cheer about. :)

Lol Touche man I hear ya. Honestly when I heard A&M was moving to the Sec I didn't think they would do very good at all but they have suprised me. Its more just the rivalry aspect of me being a Longhorns fan, that is why I dont like to give them any credit. Carry on mate...though I still think luck played a roll on your QB's part in that game but its whatever.

blastingas10 11-25-2012 02:17 AM

Even the best quarterbacks need luck sometimes. I still stand by manziel being a top 3 qb, easily. He's probably the best, and I'm not talking about nfl potential. I won't be surprised at all if he's not drafted high or considered a good prospect. I can only compare him to RG3 because neither Vick, cam newton, Tim tebow, Vince young or anyone else you want to name had the complete package that manziel has. Manziel can scramble as good as any of them and can throw better. He's shown that he has a great arm, especially in that bama game. He made some really good, deep passes.

The Aggies could so easily be sitting in bamas spot. If the kicker would have made his field goals they would have beat LSU, and then gone on to beat bama. I'm pretty sure that A&M would be sitting at number two right now if it weren't for that damn kicker.

blastingas10 12-01-2012 08:46 PM

Manziel or manti teo for heisman. Whos your pick?

Thom Yorke 12-08-2012 11:10 AM

I think T'eo will win it but personally, I'd give it to Manziel. T'eo winning it would be more of recognition for Notre Dame's defense, as opposed to the best individual effort by a player this season. T'eo was undoubtedly great, but there are so many quality players surrounding T'eo like Shembo, Fox and Tuitt, that lets him do his job even better.

Thom Yorke 12-08-2012 10:52 PM

Johnny Football gets it done. First freshman to win the Heisman. Pretty good speech as well.

blastingas10 12-08-2012 11:43 PM

I cant even tell you how proud I am. It was so surreal to see an aggie up there taking the award. I was born into an aggie family, I've been a die hard aggie my whole life. That win over Alabama was probably one of the most exciting moments of my life, then to see him win the heisman made me so damn happy. He deserved it. Unbelievable season as a freshman, beat up the defending champions, possibly two in a row.

Bloozcrooz 12-31-2012 09:22 PM

Well the Clemson vs Lsu chik-fil-a bowl turned out to be a pretty good game. Tough loss but the game could have went either way. Both teams played their ass off till the end and it just so happened Clemson ended up scoring last. Fun game to watch

blastingas10 01-04-2013 10:55 PM

Well what can you say about Johnny manziel, now? I'm as big of an aggie as anyone but I still really needed to see a good performance tonight to be sold on him and the entire did, and what did I get? A 41-13 ass kicking. Manziel was 13 yards away from becoming the 2nd player ever to throw for 300 and run for 200. And he did it on such a big stage against Oklahoma. The aggies are for real, manziel is coming back and we have the number seven recruiting class coming in. Unfortunately it looks like joeckel and Moore will be headed to the nfl, but well manage.

Bloozcrooz 01-07-2013 07:44 PM

Way to go

This Bama game is pretty pathetic so far and I'm not suprised really. I would at least like to see ND make it interesting though. They look flustered, scared, and out coached so far.

WOW time for a playoff system. Maybe Johnny Football could have put up a better fight. Jesus BAMA was running all night long on them. I can't see anyone really giving Bama a fight next year unless Johnny Football can do something miraculous. Bama just had one of the greatest recruiting years in history so its looking bleak. Bear Bryant must be smiling in heaven.

I hope Bama embarasses the aggies and johnny football next year along with the rest of the SEC. Meaning I hope all the SEC walks all over the aggies and make them think joining the SEC was the worst mistake they ever made.

I think Bama can take them, but Johnny Manziel is the real deal and so is A&M. They absolutely dismantled Oklahoma and their recruiting class was stellar also. I think you're in for a long year if you expect A&M to fall by the wayside. They did lose Stoeckl? their prized tackle to the draft but they re-upped with some outstanding prospects and Manziel is a beast, nobody can contain that guy.

Bloozcrooz 01-08-2013 05:11 PM

Have to give credit where its due and dude is quite impressive even as a freshman for A&M. I mean anyone who wins the heisman as a freshman has the potential to be a stud, I'm just not an aggie fan. Wish the Horns would have got recruited him but we werent so lucky.

The Horns have a kid coming in that didn't look so great in the army bowl, he fumbled and was overthrowing guys, can't remember his name. I'm sure you've heard of Jake Oliver though hes gonna be the next great thing at wideout for Texas. They also picked up beastly A-shawn Robinson and Kent perkins two other blue chips. Texas might be back to being Texas sooner then later.

Thom Yorke 01-08-2013 06:28 PM

I really can't see anyone giving Alabama a legit run for their money. They're just such a well-oiled machine. They're stacked everywhere, always get the best recruits, Yeldon is ready to absolutely explode, and you might still even see McCarron back next year.

blastingas10 01-13-2013 11:11 PM

Really? A&M straight up beat bama, they could definitely have done it again. If we really wanted to see who was the best then a&m should have played Oregon and the winner of that play bama. It'll be a great game next year, and I think a&m has a legitimate chance of beating them again next year and making a run for the championship. Hell, they were so close to making it this season, i dont think people realize. only lost to florida and LSU by a combined 8 points. 8 points! if their kicker wasnt terrible they would have beat LSU and that one win would have put them in the SEC title game, one win away from the national championship.

Sure, we're losing demantre Moore and Luke joeckyl, but jake Matthews is coming back, mike Evans, Molina and of course mr. Football. They're the real deal and as long as they have the most dominant player In the game they have a chance. Especially when you consider 8 of their games will be at home.

Too late, blooz. If that was going to happen it would have happened this season.:beer:

Well, VERY good news for all us Oregon Ducks fans. I was concerned that the NCAA could come down hard on the program, but they pretty much just gave the Ducks a proverbial slap on the figurative wrist

Oregon Ducks Football's NCAA Sanctions Released, Bowl Ban Not Included - Addicted To Quack

Should they have been treated more harshly? Well all the Husky fans here in Seattle sure think so. Maybe they should, maybe they shouldn't, but I'm relieved nonetheless. Besides, while it remains to be seen if the Ducks or ANYONE outside the SEC can dethrone the Crimson Tide, Oregon is still one of the most entertaining teams in all of college sports. And I have NO DOUBT they would've given the Tide a better game than the Irish did in January. They sure did against Cam Newton and Auburn a few years ago.

butthead aka 216 06-27-2013 12:01 AM

Typical NCAA. Fronting like they hard but still protecting their favorites.

They didn't protect USC or Ohio State

butthead aka 216 06-27-2013 12:16 AM

But they did Oregon and Auburn. NCAA sanctions are garbage, it's why I've lost interest in NCAA football. They aren't consistent or fair.

Paul Smeenus 06-27-2013 12:35 AM

So you're saying that the NCAA prefer Oregon and Auburn over USC and Ohio State? I'm not saying that Oregon wasn't given too lenient of sanction (I'm not saying they were either) but I don't see how the NCAA would pick favorites like that. Not many schools are worth more in cold hard dollars than USC or Ohio State (certainly not Oregon and Auburn) and both of those schools were given bowl bans, so it can't be driven financially.

butthead aka 216 06-27-2013 12:39 AM

You tell me, it's motivated by something. They just barely punished Oregon and they let Cam Newton take Auburn to the Championship knowing that his family took money lol. Then Mark Emmert swings his dick around and throws the book at Ohio St for some tattoos. Then brings a hammer down on PSU for stuff that wasn't even really football related. I know you're an Oregon fan, but by your last two posts I can tell you know Oregon got a very small half-slap on the wrist.

WHOA. End of discussion right there. Goodbye

butthead aka 216 06-27-2013 12:46 AM

Fine by me, sanctions were ridiculous and media coverage of Joe Pa was totally unfair. We love tearing down idols i guess.

Okay WTF. Manziel is suspended for one fucking HALF. What the hell is the point in that???

*edited to add: I'm not saying he should or should *not* have been suspended. But a HALF??!?!?!

butthead aka 216 08-29-2013 01:22 AM

ncaa is a total joke

a half makes no sense. ive seen teams do this all the time ust so they can say they punished someone although one half vs a cupcake team means nada

i believe and i could be wrong but if a team punishes a player for somethin, the ncaa isnt allowed to

Paul Smeenus 08-29-2013 06:23 PM

Well, it's started! As expected S. Carolina is taking it to N. Carolina 27-10 as of this moment.

Paul Smeenus 08-31-2013 06:03 PM

Well, the Ducks 66-3 win over lowly Nicholls State is hardly anything to be too terribly excited about, but College Football is BACK, babycakes...
