I can't believe it! There doesn't seem to be a College Football thread here at MB. That's Sacrilegious.

College Football here in the US defines our youth of a nation.

One of the games I'm looking forward to this coming weekend is West Virginia vs. LSU Tigers. The problem is..I don't know which team I want to see win the game?:laughing: I like them both..so..

The OSU Bobcats beat Marshall this last weekend. Looks like maybe a good year for the Bobcats of Ohio.

There's a lot of 3 & 0 (undefeated) teams going into the next week of the season. :D And I like most ALL the teams in College Football.

Kind of in mourning at the moment. USC is on probation, so there isn't much joy on Saturdays anymore till the ban is lifted. Fight on!!

USC has always been in the running with Ohio State for the title in the Rose Bowl.:beer: USC has a great/strong football program.

UCLA has always been a good team for me concerning the point spread, and as a team to bet on for an upset game. Along with Notre Dame as well.

I think the Texas Longhorns might be a little overrated so far this season, but we will see as the year progresses.

And the college teams of Florida are "Hot" teams to watch and keep an eye on this year.

I'm anxious to see how Oklahoma finishes the season as far as ranking.

LSU looks really strong, I think they're gonna take it this year. That defense is the best in the country. I know Oklahoma is most peoples pick or Alabama, but LSU looks like the team to beat.

USC is even a strong team this year, not that it will count for much. Still in the top 25 of the AP, but not eligible for anything. I'll still hit the Coliseum for my three games this year as i share seats with a friend, but its never the same without playoff aspirations. Still love college football.

LSU Tigers (#2). beat the W.Va. Mountaineers.

Oklahoma pulled off a win and retains their position at #1.

The Florida Gators put on an impressive win.

Ohio State wins over Colorado but Wisconsin seems to be the team to beat in The Big 10.

Still waiting to see what Alabama can do with the rankings in the next couple of weeks of play.

Texas A&M almost had a good win over Oklahoma State, but OSU came back after the half and won the game by one point.

Their offense looks good, defense is alright. The real test will be against West Virginia though.

The Mountaineers played good for the first half last night against LSU, but a deflected pass along with a touchdown run back by the LSU defense just about spoiled any chance of W.Va. gaining back the momentum.

W.Va. has a good football program this year, and yes you are very correct, The Mountaineers and Bearcats will be a good game. I hope the Bearcats can pull off a Win!

#12 Florida Gators are currently leading #3 Alabama 7 to 0. I would love to see the Gators upset Alabama tonight. :D

A&M joining the SEC is the funniest thing ive heard in college football in years. As a Longhorn I look foward to seeing the aggies take a beating for years to come! I just dont see it working in their favor and having any real chance to compete. I mean..they dont win in the Big 12..so what the hell makes them think the odds are in their favor in the SEC? It has to be more for marketing reasons than anything else I guess.

As good as the SEC is, I think that they are overrated. I want to see the downfall of the SEC and the possibility of an all SEC title game depresses me.

Long term wise, i think Aggies going to SEC is actually gonna help them. Lots of blue chip high school players in Texas have been going out of state to play in SEC due to the high level competition and getting noticed by NFL scouts. Now they can stay home and still play for a powerhouse conference. Parents will influence these kids considerably. Texas kids always prefer to be near or close to home while getting noticed playing with a high level of competition. Now, most of them can do that.

I don't want to see an LSU-Bama rematch for the championship, and since it will most likely happen, I will not be watching.

Tonight at 8:30 ET. LSU Tigers vs Alabama Crimson Tide. They played each other back in November and it was LSU by 3 points in overtime. It was a close game all the way.

Think I will break out a couple bottles of wine and watch the game tonight. I'll be collecting all my $$ winnings tomorrow, after LSU beats Alabama! A three point spread could make the whole difference in this game, be careful placing your bets. Go Tigers!

I dunno about collecting those winnings man...plenty of time for LSU to come back obviously, but Bama's taking it right now. It would be awesome if Alabama won in LSU's house. :D

It was the the same exact same thing last Nov. except Bama couldnt score . The tide has changed. Bamas gettin the fieldgoals.

Anyone catch that A&M vs La Tech game last week? One hell of a game. I thought the aggies were going to cruise but La Tech actually is pretty good. I would say the aggies just haven't lost that disability when it comes to closing games that they had last year, but after that amazing comeback against ole miss I can't say that. This Saturday vs lsu, I can't wait. Unfortunately I have to work. Johnny Manziel is really going to be tested but the kid is a star there's no doubt. As a freshman he set the SEC single game yardage record and then broke his own record last week. We're not talking about the WAC, this is the SEC. Quite an accomplishment for a freshman. The only team the aggies have lost to this season is Florida, and they gave them a fight, probably should have even won it. And who did LSU lose to? Florida. I really don't expect my aggie to win but maybe they'll pull a shocker. We have a pretty solid team with a good new coach.

I'd love to see them take that game. LSU has looked atrocious in a couple games that they won. The Florida game they got dominated in every aspect. I think Manziel is gonna pick them apart honestly. I'm looking forward to the LSU downfall, they screwed me last year in the Title game.

Stoked for the Bama/Tennessee game tomorrow. Shit's gonna be crazy.
There's a clunky old red car with the Alabama logo on it in the court in front of my dorm, and students can pay to whack it with a sledgehammer. It's glorious.

Should be a great atmosphere for the game. I can already envision Alabama pounding Tennessee however. I picked a 56-14 finale. Good luck.

If we don't self-destruct in the second half like we tend to do, then I think we have a shot at it. But yeah, the atmosphere should make the game a blast regardless.

I'd love to see the VOLS win this game. I'm sick and tired of Alabama winning it all. They have third stringers that could start in the SEC. I'm definitely gonna tune in and hope for old rocky top to pull one out. In my minds eye i see a Bama blowout though, which is how I bet the parlay.

Bama 46, Tennessee 13 at a damn home game. How the hell does that even happen? By the fourth quarter, there was more red in the stands than orange. :(

So is everyone of the opinion that a Bama vs Oregon championship game is the best matchup so far? I was reading an article that stated Oregons hurry up style offense would confuse Bama's D. Creating opputunity for them to flaunt their "explosive" duck offense. Also quoting Saban insinuating that the hurry up offense should not exist because players are more susceptable to injury. Doesn't sound like the Saban I know but whatever. I still dont think the Ducks or any other team have a chance against Bama.

K-STATE? I don't see anybody beating Bama either. Oregon and K-STATE are gimmick offenses that can't beat that Bama defense. Stopping those offenses is predicated on stopping the run which nobody does better then Bama. They did look vulnerable against LSU but I don't consider Oregon or K-state better then LSU. The SEC is always gonna be the beast conference and Bama is set up to make a run at a few championships in a row. Notre Dame survived against Pitt and has USC this weekend. I hardly see them beating USC this weekend. USC had a great shootout with Oregon, perhaps the best College game i've seen this year. My guess is Oregon eventually passes K-state due to strength of schedule and then gets pasted in the championship game by a decisive margin.
