I'm sure it was already brought up earlier in the thread but wrist injuries are not the only injuries that pro gamers are at risk for. That's why they have to condition their bodies for matches.

bo jackson is laughin somewhere readin through this thread

i already said, the injuries are because of prolonged gaming bot because of gamin itself and thats a big difference. nobody sits down to play a game and is riskin injury. its only a risk after hours or playing

plus another point, would u consider casual gaming a sport like if friends got together and played some multi player for an evening?? cause if me and friends go play pick up basketball i still consider it a sport

Wii Bowling... now THATS an eSport, and you always have the added danger of getting hit in the face/head with a controller. Crank up the excitement level.

You may still consider a pick up game a sport but you aren't playing it at a professional level. It's just a casual pick up game.

Similar to the multi player session with your friends.

Don't ask him to teach you about minecraft. Ask him to teach you about the strategies related to either Starcraft or League of Legends and they will be in the Olympics one day and I will laugh so hard when it happens.

Dj you know I like you but I laugh so hard at the prospect of a bunch of fat lazy nerds competing in the Olympics. It will never happen, atleast definitely not in our lifetime.

And if I'm wrong I will happily apologise.

Most professional gamers aren't fat or lazy though.

Also Shooting is already in the Olympics and Golf is going to be soon as well.

These guys aren't fat or lazy.

I agree but being in athletic health isn't a requirement to be successful within the game. I could literally start now and become 'pro' if I put my mind to it, I couldn't just start gymnastics and become pro, it's all down to natural ability in real sport, you've either got it or you haven't you can't just become good unlike in videogames.

Videogames are all about strategies that use the mind only, that being the case if they were a real sport then the likes of solitaire would surely be considered a sport which is just as ridiculous.

As for shooting and ping pong I've got no ****ing idea why they are Olympic sports yet they are still much more deserving of the place than a videogame.

Say what? Why can't you get into gymnastics and become pro?

It takes the same amount of training and dedication that it would to become a pro at gaming. Sure, it's a different type of training but still training nonetheless.

Chess is considered a sport. I'm probably wrong about this but I think I saw an article somewhere saying it's part of the Olympics as well.
