Poor Australia 3:1 was a bit harsh in the end.

I am a bit behind with this thread but the Netherlands and Spain game was fantastic, completely thrilling. Looking forward to seeing the Dutch wallop that substandard Australian team that were just on next Wednesday in an Amsterdam pub

Very harsh on Australia. At 2-0 it looked as though it would be a rout but it was a good fight back from them. Chile look pretty tidy going forward. I can't see either side getting out of their group, but Australia are surely almost certainly out now. That was a must-win.

Buffon is out.

I think we'll start with Lallana, Rooney and Welbeck with Sturridge as the CF.

A bit nervous now tbh. Just hope we don't lose.

Actually gutted.

You lot still think Rooney is world class yeah? All the other genuinely world class players have taken their chances in this World Cup, including Balotelli who isn't even world class. He had a clear shot, on his strongest foot, and he couldn't even hit the target.

Stop accommodating Rooney and bending over backwards for him for fuck's sake. Get him out of the team Woy, he didn't perform last season, he didn't perform in the friendlies and he didn't perform tonight. Yes mad. Been saying it for ages so I'm entitled to laugh a bit now. When are people going to realise the obvious? . It's like that Simpsons episode featuring Frank Grimes, stop being blinded by the name. He isn't the same fucking player.

No excuses this time, from the horse's mouth. Missed a golden opportunity to get us back into the game.

Sterling was good and Ashley Cole was missed. Terrible decision.

Edit: Woy stop being a **** and just drop Rooney I was saying this months ago for fuck's sake.

That's the player people still think he is.

Balotelli is clearly world class.

And yes, Rooney IS world class, simply had a poor game playing out of position. If you aren't going to play him up front, why f*cking play him at all?

I agree with that last bit. Should be back up to Sturridge. So I wouldn't have played him at all.

World class players take their chances I can't believe he didn't even hit the target with that shot he had.
