I tuned in to watch handball and to my surprise it wasnt a 2 on 2 match on a handball court like I was expecting. It was a full soccer team of guys playing handball on a weird field trying to get it into an oddly shaped goal.

Rio Olympics 2016: Lutalo Muhammad suffers agonising last-second taekwondo defeat - BBC Sport

Trained all his life to lose it in the last second like that. I genuinely feel sorry for him, that interview is hard to watch :(

Taekwondo is the worst martial arts ever. And I find it disgusting that it's an Olympic sport but karate and jiu-jitsu both aren't.

Truth. None of them should be Olympic sports. I think that we should only play the sports that the Greeks did in the original Olympics.

Eh. I don't mind them. The only one thing I have an issue with is Taekwondo as an Olympic sport. That said, it irritates me that the original Greek sports get what seems like little to no TV time.

Fair enough. I don't have a stake in it tbh.

Why did they take out Karate? I thought it used to be part of the games plus there is judo.

Jiu-jitsu might not be in but judo is. Also Taekwondo is a superior form of Karate.

Alright if you can have ****ing handball at the Olympics then you can have American football. Do the athletes even care if they get a gold medal for handball? Cause I'm sure nobody else does.

Their handball looks like a combination of rugby and soccer it is just weird

Karate was never in. They just got it in to compete in 2020. And Taekwondo is the single most pathetic martial art I've ever delt with. All they do is stand theready with one foot in the air and do these pathetic kicks that are more akin to taps.

So hit me with your tap kick. I'm going to grab it, trip you, and pile on top of you and pummel your face. And since Taekwondo focuses on standing and fighting, once they're on the ground they're done.
