I'd wait till they have some more challenging opponents than Stoke and Wolves before saying it's justified, a european place of some some sort is certain though.

...but its just these type of opponents that they were drawing against before. An away victory by 3:0 is always impressive in the Premiership!

I think Villa or City for 4th.
I'm really dreading what City are turning into, which is to say another Chelsea or Real Madrid, with no stability and a series of expensive foreign stars imported who don't care taking the money and going through the motions.

I hope that is not the case, as they are a side I respect, purely because of Gareth Barry, my favourite player. Pretty disgraceful when you can only field a side with one englishmen like City did against Sunderland... Hopefully Lescott, Richards and Ireland(not sure if he is english but I know he is from the youth academy) will get their spots back in the side.

4th - City
5/6th - Spurs/Villa

I am not holding high hopes for Villa finishing in 4th, top 6 will be great though, anything less a failure, especially considering we didn't even reach serious European stages this year.

But most clubs are like this and most players only really care about their paypacket at the end of the day, the days of a player starting and finishing his career at the same club are long gone.

I think that Real Madrid are the exception to this rule, as they are probably the biggest club that any player can play for, given their history and achievement in european football. Therefore a player may well snub a bigger paypacket from another club if he knows Real madrid are interested.....Kaka was a prime example.

Don't forget that City won Mark Hughes' last game in charge. Yes, they conceded 3 goals but they did win.

Well there we go for villa again. The inevitable blip that will probably last for about 12 games. No wonder I rarely smile

It was desperately unlucky to concede so late on. I really fancied Villa's chances tonight.
