I agree that it has been become somewhat 'cool' not to get behind the national team. At least it seems that way to me. I can't really blame someone who basically sees little to no passion from the squad and so mirrors the same dedication right back. If thats how they feel then fine. However, as you say, a lot of people start to get behind them when we arent doing so badly and this infuriates me when they haven't had a single positive thing to say about them for months or years before this.

Even if its not 'cool' as such, I cannot stand when I say I'm off to watch the England game, or say I'm looking forward to an England game, and someone, a football fan, an English football fan, will criticise me for it. "What you gonna watch them for?"

If I'm ever fortunate enough to see England win a European Championship or World Cup in my lifetime, I fully intend to slap any smile I see on these individuals faces right off, and put an end to celebration they intend to have.

The England U-21 selection pool is abysmal in fairness. And we have a better full international team now than in the 90's.

I've included Walker and Sturridge because they were fit before going off to play meaningless friendlies with the first team:

........................................BUTLAND... ......................

WALKER.......SMALLING(caulker).....JONES.......SHA W(rose)

.....................WILSHERE...............RODWEL L................

.........................................OX....... ..........................

ZAHA.............................................. ..MCMANAMAN(ince)

....................................STURRIDGE..... ..........................
...........................(could also be welbeck)......................

Could have gone with that ^

What was the actual line up for the three games?

Quite a few of them are now in the proper team. No need for them to get burned out in a crappy International tournament they had no chance of winning anyway.

And there lies the problem. People don't take it seriously when they should.

BTW Bartra, Thiago, Muniain and Isco are all in the Spanish full team but have still played.

Ignore Bartra. The other three have all been picked for the full team though.

I would say Ramsey better than Fellani is madness, but then with the current state of affairs at Newcastle being true madness, that statement seems both sane and well reasoned.

Not to be a stereotypically melodromatic mag, but we really do seem to be the only club that sabotages itself again and again to such an extent :banghead: Thought Ashley might have been learning from his mistakes but he clearly hasn't and due to the cuts in the NHS it seems we've been lumbered with a Joe Kinnear who rather than having the triple heart bypass required actually came out with a lobotomy. Lost all hope for next season, I'm not the kind of person to do it myself but if I supported another team I would splash the cash on us to go down at 10/1. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

That's your opinion but you are wrong. Ramsey bossed him at The Emirates and has not had a below 7/10 game sin 2013.

Right, one game I don't dispute. I've seen Shola Ameobi put Puyol in his back pocket for a whole match, I wouldn't dream of comparing the two. I don't even know any Gooners who would agree with you but you're entitled to your opinion, Ramsey isn't gash and Fellani is off the back of his best season (when he first signed I seem to remember everton fans being unhappy with 15mil on him) but would still take him all day.

He's wrong? Isn't that your opinion?
