I mean wow.

Gutted for you Mojo. At the end of the day that's what happens when you've got money to burn, don't really think Sunderland could have done any more, Fletcher's fhuck up before they scored their third was frustrating but even if you'd have scored and it went to extra time, you'd have still lost cos your players looked knackered imo. No shame at all.

Disgusting goal from Benteke to equalise. Really fucked. Then 15 minutes of slaughter. That's what pisses me off with Villa; I know we are a good side and we can play like that yet we only do it when we're down for fuck's sake -- Arsenal away, Chelsea away, Liverpool away, Southampton away, West Brom at home and so on. We've won more points from losing positions than any other team in the league.

We don't strike when the iron's hot -- Newcastle home, Fulham away, Palace at home, Man U at home.

I guess our lack of consistency sums us up - we are mid table.

yeah u mad

Commiserations Mojo...but then if you'd won it might have made this weekend even worse for me as a toon fan :D. The media hysteria over the "headbutt" is doing my head in already. Robbie Savage made a career out of being a thug and now he wants Pardew to be banned for 12 games-starting next season because it's not a punishment-or even giving us a points penalty! Christ I hate that man, no idea what his problem is.

Congratulations, blue Mancunians, on lifting the League Cup! And the great Agüero was back, which was even more important! Great performance.

I thought that if we showed up then there would be a goal in it either way, and if we didn't we would be embarrassed. I'm so glad it wasn't the latter and even though I was wrong I think 3-1 is very flattering to City. They do however just have class and quality that we dont. Simple.

I still had a brilliant weekend. I'll always remember thousands of Sunderland fans taking over Covent Garden on the Saturday night, singing and drinking with thousands of fans Sunday morning before the match, walking up Wembley Way, doing the Poznan to the City fans at Wembley and generally just having a great weekend with great craic and great people. I'm sure there has been reports of SOME bad behaviour on the part of our fans, as much as is to be expected from any club, anywhere, but everything I've seen is stuff we can feel very proud of.

Sorry mojo, your guys really made a game of it and at least you scored first (which must have been some feeling --- at Wembley!) but like they say, money talks and it's hard to imagine anyone outclassing City at the moment. Even their substitutes are worth in the tens of millions!

You put on a great show though and should be very proud. No shame whatsoever.

CB: we get a 4-1 and you're STILL bitching? A real Villa fan then... Come on man! We're up into the top half of the table for the first time in months, your namesake is firing again and our manager beat his old club. Enjoy it while you can (cos of course it won't last)!

Also, congrats to Liverpool on a storming season. Anyone take a bet on the title? ;)

I am a typical complaining Brummie.

It is frustrating though because I don't actually think we're miles off being a good team at all. Get Jores back (any day now :)), sign Bertrand permanently, buy an attacking CM or two of proven quality, promote Grealish to the first team & give Robinson some minutes, and hope we can get one more year out of Benteke and things will start to look up.

Our finances are nice (well, much better anyway) now as well so this summer will hopefully be much better.

Something positive: We will nick a point against Chelsea I feel. And Bacuna has been a steal btw. 5 goals from full back, set piece specialist, two footed, high energy... dealt with Redmond nicely yesterday. Don't want to get excited though, still his first season.

Still think they'll fall short but would like them to win it for my Scouse mate who has never seen them win the league.

Anyone remember this fella?
