We have to win the fa cup now ffs

Evertonized 03-09-2014 02:06 PM

My team (Everton) were knocked out by Arsenal yesterday, well deserved have to say, they are simply the better team.

What a clanger by Manchester City though, to lose away against Wigan would have been bad enough... but in their own backyard, shocking!

Arsenal will win the FA Cup now. Even they can't blow it from here.

That Sheffield United loss looks even more frustrating now , look at the draw this year, Man. Utd, Man. City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs - all out, could easily have got to the semis then from there who knows. Could have won a trophy ffs.

Goofle 03-10-2014 01:55 PM

If we do win the FA Cup I will go absolutely mental. I might even cry.

Cuthbert 03-10-2014 02:02 PM

You'll cry if you don't win it as well, I bet. There will be tears either way.

Hull V Man City

Everton V Cardiff

Fulham V Newcastle

Southampton V Norwich

Stoke V West Ham

Sunderland V Crystal Palace

Swansea V West Brom

Aston Villa V Chelsea

United V Liverpool

Spurs V Arsenal
 Some good matches this weekend. Jose's poor record down B6 to continue (draw: 2-2, Villa equalise with a dubious penalty late on)

Those matches on Sunday >>>>>

Exactly. Even before City got knocked out, our fans were looking at a route to the final that looked very appealing. And then Gus put out a reserve team. ****ing raging.

Actually, yeah. This. The trip to Wembley is a pretty amazing experience. Me and my mates were buzzing when we left. Probably right up until the defeat to Hull in the FA quarters. Couldn't stop smiling. Beaming with pride, in both our club and our fans. Actually it didn't even feel like we lost, apart from maybe an hour or two directly after the match.

Actually, I'm still buzzing a little.

Cuthbert 03-13-2014 06:38 PM

Speaking of Wembley, I heard Man. City fans gave you a guard of honour outside the ground on Wembley Way, any truth in this?

LOL if so. They are not even bigger than Sunderland yet they think they can go around and do stuff like that :D.

If they did that to Villa that'd really piss me off.

Mojo 03-13-2014 06:45 PM

I'm not entirely sure what a guard of honour entails but they were very respectful. As we were filing out of the stadium they were singing songs about the day they won the title (when we had United at our place and our fans (I wasnt there) did the poznan when news filtered through of Aguero's goal) and there was a handful of people around us starting off applause for our fans.

It was respectful and I loved it at first, but by the time we filtered out, down Wembley Way, and made the platform of the tube station I was kinda just wishing they would pack it in, to be honest.

As we noted at the time...theres no way we would have done that had we won. Admittedly it's cause we arent used to winning things and theres a very good chance it would have been the only trophy a lot of us ever saw us win, but we would not have been out there shaking peoples hands. I highly doubt it.

Guard of honour:

Seems like it was a bit more spontaneous than that then. Still though, they are desperate to be liked.
