You're making me feel self conscious. Like the time my older sister laughed at me and my mate for simulating crowd noises, while playing subbuteo as a kid. :(

Look, pay no attention to me. Just keep chatting about sports, while I stand over here in the corner eavesdropping and thinking about...oh nevermind.

right-track 12-04-2009 01:35 PM

Good grief woman. Are you in season or summat?

NSW 12-04-2009 02:13 PM

:D

Now seriously, ignore me.

zeppy111 12-05-2009 01:10 PM

Back to winning ways with a 3-0 win over Hull today. Dunne chipping in with another goal for the season. I wonder how some strikers in the league (i.e. Scotland, Benitez) must feel with a defender or two way outscoring them.

City beat Chelsea 2-1, another high point :)

Wigan throw away the game 3-2 against Birmingham :(

Wigan - consistently... inconsistent

Relegation: Burnley Bolton, Blackburn

Oh Yeah: UNI...(please follow RT)

When a team are as inconsitent as Wigan, they could definately end up in the relegation dogfight. Same could be said for West Ham as well.

loveissucide 12-06-2009 06:00 AM

City end their winless streak in the best possible way.I'm a happy camper

And Bolton,Portsmouth and Birmingham to go down.

Can't see that myself. Playing too well and picking up points at the moment.

I can see Burnley staying up, maybe by the skin of their teeth. Same with Hull but the extent of Bullards injury could be vital. Im a Bullard fan and it was horrific to see him go off like again so soon, it was also great to see the Villa fans giving him a standing ovation.

Birmingham did well to come back against Wigan but I wasn't impressed at all with Pollitt in goal after Kirkland went off. Don't know about everyone else.

EDIT: We have Fulham in 20 minutes. Haway the lads.

zeppy111 12-06-2009 08:57 AM

^^^ It was really sad seeing Bullard going off like that and it was quite a fair consellation that the villa fans gave him a big applause. For his sake, hull sakes and my sake(as a huge fan of his) the injury better heal quickly.

Fulham are a class above against Sunderland so far, failed to capitalise on a few chances though.

Mojo 12-06-2009 09:00 AM

Same old shit from Sunderland. Incapable of winning away from home and getting beat by just about every cross and long ball put into our box.

jackhammer 12-08-2009 04:48 PM

Man U have a complete makeshift defence and still trounce Wolfsburg 3-1. Hat's off to them. Owen hat Trick too? maybe it's not too late for the World Cup?

According to the stats United only had 4 shots on target all game.
And I bet they weren't all from Owen. Pretty clinical!

zeppy111 12-12-2009 07:48 AM

Wigan vs Stoke... WOW!!!

One of those mid-table belters, landing up in a 2-2 draw at Britannia.

First half relatively boring and slow, but the second half came to life with Figeuroa scoring a huge freekick from in his own half, Stoke replying straight away via Shawcross, Rodallega missing a penalty on 90 minutes and setting up camp on the Stoke penalty area for the last 4 minutes of stoppage time. Go watch that goal. Awareness and a clinical shot, awesome!!

Villa vs United tonight. Early xmas present please?

Bulldog 12-12-2009 07:58 AM

Nevermind the missed penalty - those can happen to even the best players in the world. But to concede a goal from a set piece moments after going ahead is an absolute joke. Otherwise, good performance from the latics. And no, I'm not in the slightest bit concerned about relegation - we're in as much danger as a whole load of other teams, and we're a good team when we want to be, so I fancy our chances. Plus, as long as Bolton continue to struggle, I'm a happy man!

Urban Hat€monger ? 12-12-2009 08:12 AM

I think there's only going to be 1 relegation place that's going to be seriously fought over anyway. Portsmouth are already as good as done. I don't see anything about Wolves to suggest they'll stay up either. With only one other place left it could be a whole number of teams, Thrashings aside I don't see Wigan being anywhere near that.

right-track 12-12-2009 08:19 AM

Looks like we could be in for an interesting day of football already.
Latest;
Bolton 1-0 Man City
Chelsea 0-1 Everton
Tottenham 0-1 Wolves

Edit: Spoke too soon...Chelsea just equalized. :(

zeppy111 12-12-2009 10:04 AM

I don't see Wigan being relagated, I actually have some money on Wigan finishing top 10 for the season. Portsmouth, bolton and then who ever else goes off the tracks, i.e. wolves.

loveissucide 12-12-2009 10:55 AM

Back to the drawing board for Mark Hughes, however the Spurs and hopefully United defeats should be a plus.We really need to work out how to end this rut for good if City want the Top Four place I still think we can attain.

zeppy111 12-12-2009 12:41 PM

Aston Villa 1 - Man United 0.

Agbonlahor goal in the first half then defend for dear life. It is a win!!!!!

Happy times :)

wickedlk 12-12-2009 12:52 PM

5 in midfield at home?! WTF were you thinking Fergie? Just what....

jackhammer 12-12-2009 12:55 PM

Up the Villa :D and on reflection well deserved. If only we were a little more consistent regarding a whole season.

right-track 12-12-2009 01:33 PM

Bit surprised at seeing a Villa team actually attack United for once.
Have they learned their lesson from last season, or did they just fancy their chances against a weakened United?
No complaints here. Villa brought the game to us, then defended what they had.
