i want Wolves to go up this season. i think ideal would be them, Hull, and Villa.

would suck to see Villa fall that far down. it's crazy to look at their squad from a few years back and see how things have changed. i thought that with some of their younger talent they were destined to climb up the league and be a sure thing top half side for the years to come. maybe that was wishful thinking.

seems like they just cant hold onto the players that could make the difference for them. too much time treading water near the bottom of the table.

Taking Villa out my three would be Wolves, Forest and Sheffield Wednesday.

It really shows how far we have fallen that we now could be looking at League One football.

mind boggling.

what kind of attendance are they pulling now? i would like to think they have more than enough money being pumped in to able to fix this problem, or to have already fixed it. why aren't they bothering?

Cuthbert 08-15-2017 04:55 PM

We're close to breaking FFP rules apparently so we can't keep throwing money around.

Still 30k+ and the away fans are travelling well, 4k tonight again.

It's not just about money, I've genuinely not seen the team play a good 90 minutes in well over a year, the cup semi vs Liverpool I think, or Sunderland 4-0 in a league match. That's more than ****ing two full seasons ago.

I think a lot of it is psychological as well, you need quality and a tactics plan to achieve success obviously, but I mean I knew straight away if we didn't start well it would go downhill fast, that's the atmosphere at the club, as soon as we concede or get a bad result you think 'oh no not again', we can't bounce back because the negativity sets in. If the fans feel like it the players must as well. Albrighton and Clark have been excellent since they fucked off to other clubs. We've signed top players from other clubs in the league who look useless in our team. Momentum and confidence is massive in football.

I would get Dr. Steve Peters in or something.

was gonna mention this. there seems to clearly be huge coaching issues over the last few seasons. a lot of players with flashes of brilliance but nobody has been able to pull it together consistently before moving on. i haven't watched since they were in the prem so i can't really comment on the team now, but from you've said it's more or less what i expected.

We're just a magnet for failure, no other way to say it.

Messi?

Or world record fee for Mbappe?

I could see Messi happening and I'll be so disappointed if it does.

if they'll pay 50 mil for Walker hard to say what they'd pay for an above average attacker.

Messi has a £271m release clause.

Thing is they've already spent over £200m.

Relative to what they've paid for players in the past, £271m for Messi is a good price, imo.

what are the thoughts on Gylfi going for 45 mil? it's obv a lot but i think people are being far too harsh on it. there's been a lot worse done so far this window. he's consistently been one of the best midfielders in the prem despite being on one of the worst teams.

for some reason i cant find the full picture for this but you get the point
