60mil bid for Mahrez from City has been accepted

think we all knew he’d be leaving eventually but this feels like a weird deal for me. he wasn’t nearly as electric last season and i’m not entirely sure that’s the transfer i would be looking for if i’m city. i mean, nothing wrong with picking up another talented winger but with how big their budget is and how little they actually need to improve i would’ve went for someone a little better.

either way he will probably fit the system well i suppose. at least this gives Sterling some more competition and another reason to work on his god awful finishing.

City are gonna have to deal with a lot more deep-lying defences next season due to their awesome previous season, so a player like Mahrez makes a lot of sense. Sane and Sterling are counter-attacking wingers, Mahrez can unlock a team on the edge of the box.

He was very good last season. Can't think of another winger who would go for around 60mil who's better than him.
