Who will be the 2018 World Cup winners?
Brazil, I don't think the 'it's in Europe so a European team will win it' means much as 95% of South Americans play here anyway. Which two teams will make the final? Brazil and Argentina. Who will be the tournament's top goal scorer? Sir Harry Edward Kane of England. Who will win best player? Messi. Who will be the surprise team (defined as a team who punches well above their weight and exceeds expectations ala Costa Rica 2014, Turkey 2002)? Russia and Egypt are good shouts. Predict England's performance. Win first two, lose vs Belgium, win second round knockout, lose quarter final vs Brazil. Harry Kane's seven goals along the way should be enough for the Golden Boot. |

bonus question speed round:
what percentage of England's goals will be scored by Harry Kane? how many absolute sitters will Sterling smash over the net? who will be the first English player to get injured and miss the entirety of the tournament?

>50% how many absolute sitters will Sterling smash over the net? 2 who will be the first English player to get injured and miss the entirety of the tournament? None of them now. Season is all but done and they will go easy in the warm ups. |

Yes. They finished 5th in a 6 team qualifying group in one of the easiest confederations. Behind Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras and Mexico.
They needed to win their last game and lost to bottom of the group Trinidad & Tobago who had nothing to play for as they couldn't qualify. If you see my first post in this thread I said they should still do it. Spectacular failure. |

Agreed not as if it is Kane or Vardy.
Honestly think in attack we have ridiculous strength, as good as any country in the world. Vardy/Kane/Sterling 86 goals between them then Rashford/Lingard 26 goals between them then Sturridge if fit and Defoe off the bench. Only Sturridge is a doubt but if fit then for me he has to go. |
