There were 4 aces hit yesterday in the MPO (male pro) division and one of them was by my new friend Chandler Fry.

I went to grab my disc golf rack/coffee table at my buddies place last week (it was being stored there after the fire) and when I walked in, there was Chandler. I was like "You're Chandler Fry!". He laughed, I laughed, we all laughed. It was pretty darn awkward. lol

I love this sport.

This is from last year at Hyde Park in Chicago when I dropped off one of the first baskets. It's amazing how much the entire disc golf scene in Chicago has changed since then.

'Sportin' my Gavin Rathbun tee I got from his Mom:

The 2022 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships kicked off this morning with the FPO (Female Pro Open) starting at 9am. Kristin Tattar from Estonia is out there tearing it up at the moment. MPO (Mixed Professional Open) starts at 2pm. It's 5 rounds which carry into Saturday with the final round. In 1990, the entire event consisted of 10 rounds, which is insane, especially when you look at the money involved. It's gonna be a fun week for fans of the sport.

Interesting stats:

Johne McCray with the ace yesterday during round 1 at the World Championships:

John just suffered a heart attack not too long ago and is back out there beating up on all the youngsters. Mucho respect.

I got out to play one of my favorite courses yesterday. It was a best shot doubles match with 8 people/4 teams. I was hitting my lines and putts and came through with a win, but I pulled one too tight on the 17th hole and my disc went into some thick brush. It was getting dark and we looked for a few minutes but I didn't want to leave it lost because it was my oldest and most used disc. I had rescued this thing multiple times over the years after errant throws, and even went back for it in Nebraska when I lost it on my vacation to Colorado. This disc is very special to me. I couldn't sleep last night thinking about it. I was resolved to go to work this morning and leave as early as I could to go back and look for it, hoping no random player would find it before I did. I even put up a post about it last night on a Lost Disc FB page to at least create some awareness. That was the plan, then this morning this happened:

Spoiler for oh em gee:

I love this community.
