My brother has that exact album on vinyl.

lately I've been downloading mostly digital versions of vinyl rips. so long as it's a quality rip, the sound is usually quite superior.

16 bit 44.1khz kills most of the vinyl sound.
But you do run into some nice rips.
Often the mastering has been done differently for the vinyl version, less limiting, less accent on higher tones. It usually makes for a relaxed listen.
Still I get the idea most of the vinyl rips are done from cheap ass USB turntables and budget technics, pioneers with stock cartridges. It's nice people take the effort, but in that case my CD player is just better.

I usually grab 24bit's from good setups.

Worth the effort. But they are hard to find .

Left:

A few of them I don't recognize
  • Todd Rundgren
  • Jackson Browne
  • Paul McCartney & Wings - Band on The Run
  • Rod Stewart
  • Bruce Springsteen (& The E Street Band) - Born to Run
  • Traffic - The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys
  • Tres Hombres - ZZ Top
  • Elvis Presely - Elvis Gold Records
  • Rockpile - Seconds of Pleasure
  • Willie Nelson
  • Greetings From Asbury Park
Right:
  • Marshall Crenshaw
  • Pink Floyd - Animals
  • The Drifters
  • The Eagles - Hotel California
  • ABC
  • George Benson
  • The Everly Brothers - A Date With

You have Seconds of Pleasure! I don't hear too many people mentioning Rockpile. They were probably one of the most underrated band from the UK. Too bad it didn't work out for them.
