The Monster Beats Pro by Dr. Dre are my personal favorite. The sound quality is superior to the Sennheiser 550's that I used to have. Huge bass (but not too overpowering), great mids (not "muddy"), and the highs seem to be perfect (not "tinny"). The price tag was close to $400, but they are built like a tank. Annodized aluminum and removeable/washable ear cups. Absolutely superb.

They are not particularly bad, but you can buy a great pair of headphones for half that money. You do pay for the fact that Dre has put his name on it. Pity.

Been using a pair of Sennheiser HD 280's for the last 9 months or so...maybe not the absolute best sound quality you can get for the price, but they are very comfortable and have been getting the job done for me.
