Just this... Epiphone Junior Model. It's kind of plain and all I have is some tiny amp, but hey it's something!

^ nothing at all wrong with that, especially if you're just starting out. i rocked a low end epiphone for years and had a blast with it. never actually seen a Epi Jr. before, i'm liking it. :thumb:

lol ya i brought it to my science class way back in 8th grade and my science teacher started kicking major a.ss on it, that inspired me that maybe there is something more to it.

definitely. your sound comes from your hands and your heart. a high quality instrument simply accentuates your abilities. plus developing the ability to make a 'crap' quality instrument sing means you'll have the chops to really push a quality piece of gear to its limits when you finally get your hands on something really nice someday.

I've got a Rockbass fretless 5 string. It sounds about 300 quid more expensive than it was, and is built like a brick ****house. Price wise, good enough to start with. Quality wise, good enough to keep going with.

Bought it mainly for something decent to record with, my dad's old aria bass is completely battered. Still sounds decent enough, but only with decent modelling. Through a flat amp, sounds like ass.

If you spend a little more you can get a much nicer guitar. Those Epiphone Les Paul Customs are amazing for there price. I got one for 300 used, and it plays like a much more expensive guitar once setup properly. If you put new pickups and nut in you have your self something that rivals many gibson's.

I've been there. All I had was an acoustic for the first few years of playing. I got really clean picking technique down and somehow I just appreciate my electric more every time I play because of the experience. It certainly makes you tone oriented later.

Been playin' for slightly more than 1/2 year, maybe 3/4 year, i love it as much as i love trumpet.
