I have an older Schecter Hellcat and a Crate 30 Watt class A tube amp that sounds like a cheeper Vox AC30. But I want a Rickenbacker 620 and a Krank Chadwick half stack or a Vox AC30. But the fact that I don't have a job yet makes what I want unreachable for a long time :bonkhead:

Uke 11-09-2005 06:58 PM

I have an Epiphone Goth Les Paul

I want this yellow strat i saw at a store.

phoenixflames 11-09-2005 08:31 PM

OLP Musicman Stingray 4 string bass is what I'm currently playing. I really like the action and how it sounds. Descent quality.

I want a Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string, but the one I want runs around $1300, so I'm not going to be getting that any time in the near future. Other equipment upgrades come first.

Electric Eye 11-12-2005 01:56 AM

I'm not gonna tell you my equpment i will just bring embarassment to myself. But i wanna get a randy rhoads style V. I was thinking maby an RR5, or an esp EX400 with a dumond plate, looks kick ass. Or a sl2H jackson. Hmm i can't decide.

Electric Eye 11-12-2005 02:14 AM

Well acctually does this have to be a reality, because if not i would say a jackson custom randy rhoads, with 24 scalloped frets, some emgs 81/85, a lightning bolt paint job, and not inlays on the face, although with side inlays, aldur body, maple neck, ebony fretboard, no neck binding, and a kahler tremolo.

mosesandtherubberducky 11-12-2005 08:50 AM

^ that would cost a lot. I just want a Rick.

BoN_JoVi 11-12-2005 01:23 PM

I have an BC Rich, And a fender :)

I know i don't think i woill get that anytime soon. I was also thinking aboute putting a guitar together with warmoth parts, i heard there guitars have great tune. So i also might get a warmoth star body, put some emgs in it, scalloped fretboard and a kahler tremolo, i'm not sure how much it would cost me but alot less than a jackson custom, i'm guessing that would run me 1000 or less but no more than 2000, probably like 1500 with warmtoh parts. Paint it black with black hardware, and those black dimond strings with the black coating, so basically all black.

mosesandtherubberducky 11-12-2005 04:00 PM

^ that all sounds great, but, the black dimond strings are crap. The stuff the use to make the strings black will rub off onto ur fret board, fingers and body of the guitar.

Welle thanks for the heads up, i guess i won't use black diamond strings.

mosesandtherubberducky 11-12-2005 05:23 PM

Get some Ernie Balls if you want cheep good strings, or get some Elixers for that "I paid $15 for this pack of strings" feel

half_baked87 11-12-2005 06:00 PM

right now i've got a epiphone les paul studio with a seymour duncan custom in the bridge position, and a fender american tele. i'd kill for a PRS custom 24 though.

I hate Schecter basses, the bodies are just awful and look really bad. I play a Epiphone Thunderbird IV and Ibanez GSR205, wana get a Warwick Vampyr, but its like 800 quid :yikes: So i may just make my own, much easier.

free_2_skank 11-28-2005 11:44 AM

I have a Rickenbacker 325, Hofner bass, Ovation, Fender Strat, Les Paul 1960, Gretsch, John Lennon Revolution Casino, J-160 E Peace, Paul McCartney 1 out of 250 Epiphone Texan (signed) and Autographed Fender Hollowbody guitar signed by Bob Segar. I'm quite proud of my collection. (Don't even get me started on amplifiers!!)

i want a maton acoustic real bad. no other acoustic seems to have the same awesome sound.

PrettyDemented 01-03-2006 11:47 AM

I have a Fender Strat

PrettyDemented 01-03-2006 11:47 AM

but I would love a Les Paul Custom...cept I'm poor

So it wont be happening anytime soon...all well

Reggae Joe 01-06-2006 10:36 PM

My dream guitar would be a Paul Reed Smith Custom 24...precision, amazing instrument. I play one everytime I go to my favorite guitar store. I also wouldn't turn down a Gibson 1958 reissue Les Paul.

The bass I want is Fender's Victor Bailey sig series Jazz Bass...amazing sound (especially through a Hartke rig) and looks gorgeous.

Since I can't quite afford any of those, however, I'll be content with getting an Epiphone Bob Marley sig series Les Paul. Good playability and sound at a decent price.

nope

nope...i wish i had one man. they are soooooo sexy. i was in L&M yesterday and saw one for the first time in real life and i played it for like half an hour. the action on it was amazing. there was this other gretch hollow bodie and it was similer to the white falcon but it was coloured like a new york taxi (yellow, black, checkers) it was pretty rad.

Im getting this hopefully for around 100, which is niiiiiiiiice

ClayManSteve 01-26-2006 02:29 PM

i got the schecter for christmas.. i must say it owns. it has active EQ and the B string isnt loose and bad sounding. much better than my Squier. my only complaint is that the strings are too low to play pick, but finger works well.

but the bass i really want, after about 5 or 6 years, is a warwick corvette 5 string but im happy with the schecter for now.

not a bad choice at all. its got the emg's which is definitely nice. i guess im more one for the finish being a wood finish rather than solid. good choice though, esp's and ltd's alike play very well.

I hate EMG's on a guitar. On a bass they sound good because when coupled with active electronics they can really round out the sound. But on guitars they are just flat and tone-less.

*is proud of is out of date Schecter Hellcat*

PerFeCTioNThrUSileNCe 01-26-2006 06:34 PM

i considered a hellcat when i was in the market the first time. it had great tone, but i have to admit, i didnt like the feel of the neck all that much.

another guitar i considered was an LTD M200FM. great guitar, coil tap, floyd rose, flamed top, the whole deal. it had EMG's and it sounded great. im wondering what guitars youve played with EMG's that you werent satisdied with..

I haven't played any guitars with EMG's in them, to my knowledge. But most of the artists that use them for pick-ups have a tone I just don't like. But yeah the neck on the Hellcat was hard to get used too. Very thick.
