nope

nope...i wish i had one man. they are soooooo sexy. i was in L&M yesterday and saw one for the first time in real life and i played it for like half an hour. the action on it was amazing. there was this other gretch hollow bodie and it was similer to the white falcon but it was coloured like a new york taxi (yellow, black, checkers) it was pretty rad.

Im getting this hopefully for around 100, which is niiiiiiiiice

i got the schecter for christmas.. i must say it owns. it has active EQ and the B string isnt loose and bad sounding. much better than my Squier. my only complaint is that the strings are too low to play pick, but finger works well.

but the bass i really want, after about 5 or 6 years, is a warwick corvette 5 string but im happy with the schecter for now.

not a bad choice at all. its got the emg's which is definitely nice. i guess im more one for the finish being a wood finish rather than solid. good choice though, esp's and ltd's alike play very well.

I hate EMG's on a guitar. On a bass they sound good because when coupled with active electronics they can really round out the sound. But on guitars they are just flat and tone-less.

*is proud of is out of date Schecter Hellcat*

PerFeCTioNThrUSileNCe 01-26-2006 06:34 PM

i considered a hellcat when i was in the market the first time. it had great tone, but i have to admit, i didnt like the feel of the neck all that much.

another guitar i considered was an LTD M200FM. great guitar, coil tap, floyd rose, flamed top, the whole deal. it had EMG's and it sounded great. im wondering what guitars youve played with EMG's that you werent satisdied with..

I haven't played any guitars with EMG's in them, to my knowledge. But most of the artists that use them for pick-ups have a tone I just don't like. But yeah the neck on the Hellcat was hard to get used too. Very thick.
