I'm pretty happy with how it stays in tune and the overall intonation. Was worried since it is on the cheaper end of Mandolins I looked at but it will do the job just fine.

That's too bad Frownland. I do everything I can to encourage my kids to play music but they are not all that interested.

It could be because I find it blasphemous for my amp to sit at anything below 11.

Not to change the subject, but I was just looking for electric Ukes and came across this:

I think I might pull the trigger. A late Xmas gift to me, actually it'll have to be VERY late since I have quite a few bills to pay first. Oh ponder.

I agree it's a shame in Frownland's case, as he is so passionate and talented about music. Same situation in my household as yours, Moss - my kids are not that interested in playing music, although they both love music.

I'm lucky that way -- my mom teaches music, and I've literally been playing the piano since before I could walk. My parents have always encouraged me in that direction. Dad even payed half of my amp's price.

I've been playing stringed instruments for over 30 years. I've just never picked up a Ukulele before this year on my B-Day in Aug.

Thanks so much for sharing your work, Plankton. I've listened to many of the tracks so far and am astounded by your playing. You create this incredible roar of rock 'n' roll and yet, your rhythmic sense, which is really advanced, remains intact and spot on all the way. 30 years experience or no, most players don't reach your level of versatility. Picked up a 16 inch trash crash cymbal and a 10 inch splash cymbal today with my Christmas money. I was too cheap to buy any stands, so I working on MacGyvering at least one (I'm likely to use the splash as an addition to my snare like Chris Corsano or Paal Nilseen-Love does). Played on them for a couple hours already, very pleased with them.
