Self Taught??

i believe strongly that you should learn more from yourself because you might pick up your teachers style and would you rather get your own or pick up his/hers?

yeah don't get cocky. one thing i've learned from playing is that there's probably someone who's better than you. you think you may be at the top of the heap now, but just wait, you'll play with somebody miles ahead of where you are, whether it be speedwise, creativity, or just all around playing.

i know, pride is a difficult thing to swallow when you seem to be better than everyone at 'you level' but whatever. ill get my ass whooped someday, that'll probably help.

drop the blinders and stop considering the possibility of their even being 'levels' music is not a video game.

I'm trying to teach myself, I go pretty damn slow though. In the last six months I have done is learn chords and play some tabs.

Well I just want to be able to play some more complex tabs and get decent. I just like playing for fun.
