If you're going to change the nut / saddle why not try installing a Peizo pickup in there or one of the LR Baggs bridge pickups that appear in the 'consider this' section to that EMG? Otherwise how comparable is the size of the soundhole to a typical acoustic? You might be able to get one of those Fishman pickups to fit.

Worse case you can always use a bottle cap pickup.
