She was gonna put her case before the mods a little while ago but has decided that we're boring now or she got denied and is turning her nose up.

Same **** as ever, I think the case that got her banned was berating a new member or something like that. She had an alt for a few months that got banned.

She went on an unhinged tirade against Roxy for being a Republican.

You're surprised? He sobered up and went religious.

The Batlord 04-26-2019 10:54 AM

Didn't he join a cult-lite? I'm really not that up on his shenanigans.

Really f*cking hate when that happens.

Like, good for you for getting sober however you had to do it but there's no way finding god was honest and not just a desperation move you'll pathetically cling to. I mean there's no way in hell I will ever buy that JW-****ing-B legitimately believes in any kind of higher power.

I've seen more surprising turnarounds. It's usually conflating the power of being a part of a social network that religion tends to provide with their belief in god as the solution to their problems.

What you talking about?

Had to do it? No.
Finding God? No.

But if you get over that hump of addiction then aren't you going to need to keep that social network to maintain your sobriety? I don't see JWB as being particularly able to build a new, "secular" social network of actual friends and whatnot so won't he be stuck? I imagine the comedown from realizing your new god boy friends are goofballs and then having nobody to cling to to keep you away from becoming a hole-in-the-ground-you-pour-booze-into will just make you hit the sauce harder.
