Music Banter - Most overrated bands ever?

Like the Beatles or not their massive contribution to music should mean they can never be considered overrated. Even their early material was groundbreaking, personally I prefer their 62-66 catalog to the post Sgt. Peppers work, but none of it is bad. I can't imagine how heavy something like the White Album sounded compared to everything else in '68, that album sounds like it couold have been recorded yesterday, way ahead of it's time.

Absolutely agree with this. I like a handful of their songs but their albums are pretty unbearable to me. Couple that with the fact that they are constantly pushed as the greatest band in the history of recorded music and you have one massively overrated band.

I would have to say "Panic! At the Disco" :| one of the most overrated bands I know, all their songs sound pretty much the same to me. I think they're only as popular as they are because they've been taken in by the scene kids.
