i'm gonna go out on a limb, maybe spark an argument, or maybe it won't and I'll get ass raped by comments because I thought such generic choices would start an argument.
Blur Bad Religion The Mars Volta Leftover Crack The Clash 311 Stone Temple Pilots Red Hot Chili Peppers, including their old stuff. Arctic Monkeys Animal Collective Coming from me I'd guess this'd be a surprise so I'm gonna say Nirvana.

Even though I like Blur i'd go along with that.
Even with a whole music weekly and the mainstream press behind them going on & on & on about them they still couldn't top Oasis. The Clash however deserved ever bit of hype they ever got because they are that awesome.

The Mars Volta-while they're not the best band, i think they're really doing alot for music these days are one of the better groups in the scene The Clash-see Urban and Rick's posts 311-agreed Stone Temple Pilots-in some ways i agree, but as far as musicianship goes, i think they're very underrated and should get a bit more hype in that department Red Hot Chili Peppers, including their old stuff.-new stuff yeah, but old stuff? really? Nirvana-yea, but still it's usually for the wrong reasons

The Mars Volta also falls under the category of being overrated for the wrong reasons, Thomas Pridgen is a tank and I never hear much about him. Oh, and just because I say these bands are overrated doesn't mean I don't like them.
