It looks like you dont know certain people or those guys the way I do and of course people who havnt been their victims may support them. You say he calls her thePreistess and loves her and it reps the embodiment of women than why is he making a death threat against her as he does on many of his albums to women. he is a Catholic vatican type fanatic as far as I'm concerned terrifying lesbians in his one of his albums, threatenng Dani by tellng her to rest in peace (that is an outright threat) and those who worship people like that knowing that they have damaged lives and made no ammends are most likely in trouble themselves. Jimi was great yes. He also didnt go around threatening women's lives but sung out Oh Isabella I'm fighting for you. He was honoring the woman's life not some coward chicken **** like Kiedis who threatens lives and I know he does and has and tortured a woman and she landed in hospital. U guys need to take responsibility and stop acting like Taliban. The woman didn't do anything. Jimi wrote lyrics from a soul point that not many people will ever understand fully. He used his soul. Anthony uses sadistic sarcasm and hateful punk tones that has no integrty. Look at writers who really cared about others, their families like Sting and have a strong social conscience and honestly care. I said honestly! Kiedis couldn't care less about any of you or anyone. In fact he hates all of you most of the time. Believe me I know and don't need to tell u the details. he is like Derf Scratch who also hated people, beat his girl, abused people, used drugs to no end and never let the light in. Dont be so ignorant. Elton John is a good writer. Dylan a great writer and a great man! NOT KIEDIS AND THOSE PUNKS. THEY ARE EVIL AND I HOPE THEY STAY OFF MY RADIO AND OUTOF MY LIFE!

How is this in ANY way relevant to why they might be considered over-rated?
Even if they WERE all deviant nazi satanist baby killing father rapers, of what relevance would that be to the quality of their product, or a possibly misguided public rating of it?

Personally I WANT my rock musicians as twisted and messed up as possible - if anyone deserves to be damaged by hard drugs and weird sex it's them . . . (if you've spent any time around musician's egos, I'm sure you'll understand)

As for musicians who don't do drugs, especially those who take a public stance against drugs - Frank Zappa not withstanding - I agree totally with Bill Hicks' summation: "They SUCK! Soul-less, Spineless, ball-less suckers of Satan's c**k, every last one of 'em."

I never said that the bands I listed were good - I said they were big.

Having said that, I like Infectious Grooves. The lyrics can be a bit puerile at times, but what do you expect from crazy funky music? The basslines are simply awesome (this band put Trujillo in my list of fav bassists), the drumming is incredibly tight and the guitarwork is nice.
