Damn, not even the nip-slip at the super bowl was that big. And that was huge online. I know I was trying to get onb LA Times and it wouldn't load. I thought I was one of the first people to hear about it. Well before TMZ promounced him to be dead.

Yeah man i got in last night and saw it on tv and came on here thinking I would be the first to spill the beans but was somewhat 20 mins beaten to it lol.

I really am profoundly disturbed at the media attention celebrities' deaths get. But hey, I guess I should've been disgusted a lot earlier.

I don't think MJ would complain, this is the best comeback he could have ever hoped for.

Be sure to expect a huge boost in the guy's record sales in coming months.

I was at a show in Chi town last night and they played a few MJ songs for everyone, it was pretty cool. Luckily we didn't encounter any rioting in Gary on the way back home.

I was really shocked. My husband called me from work and told me and I thought he was just joking so I went and turned on the news and wow, I was surprised.

The sad part is that a lot of people seem to be celebrating (in other forums) and it's disgusting to see people react like that. You don't have to like him or his music in any way, shape or form but he did a lot for music and inspired tons of people. No matter how different he was and how strange his life turned out to be, it's still not cool to go laughing and making fun of someone and saying how glad you are that they are dead.

I think yours might be broken.

He gave The Beatles music back to Paul McCartney is his will.

MJ's death is a huuuuuge loss for the music world. IMO he was the biggest entertainer in the last 30 years - and there is no one around the world who doesn't know his music.

Record stores here in Toronto have been bombarded with customers wanting to buy Jackson's albums, and some stores have even run out of those items!

How? He's hardly been overly active in the recording studio lately. 8 years since his last album.

Exactly, it's only been a day and already I'm sick of people saying "music will never be the same again". I mean it's unfortunate that he died the way he did, but I think music will endure.
