If I remember correctly the reason we have the Shoutbox is because it boosts our Google Ranking for whatever reason, so the admins wont let it go anywhere.

I think that the 15 posts limit to post a link is a little bit pointless, since it encourages new people to spam.

I've found that generally the only people who post-slut to 15 just so they can post a link are people who've come here for the express purpose of promoting something, which is against the rules. So it actually works as a pretty effective red flag for us.

I think MB could use better moderator coverage midday Europe. Right now (at 15:30), there are no mods online and already threads like this are popping up.
