Rob Halford is one of the most brilliant singer/vocalist in Metal, if not the most brilliant, not many match him. That's not an opinion, I believe it is a fact.

His vocals really shine in this song.

Just listen to what his voice can do on this song, and remember, he isn't screaming. His voice can just do this.

Well this is an impressive display, but can you say that it's a fair representation of how Halford consistently sounds? What I have heard of Halford is more the vocal style he adopts on songs like 'Metal Gods', where his voice sounds flat, weak and shallow. I am restricted in my ability to discuss here due to not listening to a consistent amount of Priest, and I'd never heard 'Painkiller' before, but it seems his singing style is not always as consistent as it appears on this track.

Hey Blackdragon123, don't feel bad about disliking Halford's voice. We all have our preferences. Anyway, if you're really interested in listening to him more to get a feel for his range/variety, here's one of my favorite Judas Priest songs:

"Metal Gods" really isn't a good representation of his range.

Thanks for this man, the funny thing is I quite enjoyed the musical side of this track, but the vocals still don't grab me. I just don't dig the vibe or feel the presence when it comes to old Robbie.

Grateful Dead were cool guys but a bland, unexciting band, but "Terrapin Station" is one of the best things to hit the mainstream music scene ever.

Slash is a fantastic musician.

Music requires a lot of diligent, structured practice. "Feeling it" and "connecting" is not enough to be really good.

Music theory actually expands your musical inventiveness, it doesn't restrict it.

Depends, sometimes the debut just isn't there yet, sometimes the debut is way better than the rest.
