That's kind of how I feel about stoner rock/metal. I still love it but the albums that are just Sabbath worship have become monotonous.

I've been having that feeling about that genre for a long time. So many bands just make me feel like they're stealing one specific component of Black Sabbath, but without adding anything interesting.

Oh god that's a lot... Ok, I might take a listen to some of that, but... I already have the previous album Sinistro put out on my shelf and... it's kinda boring my tits off apart from a standout track or two. There's a song that sounds like the Twin Peaks OST + doom metal. Great when it sounds like the former. Dull when it sounds like the latter.

I don't have any clue what that is. At first I was thinking it reminded me of Mars Volta artwork.

Some of the best stuff in metal has been happening just in the past 5 years. Just because you're looking in all the wrong places doesn't mean it's not there.
