I don't see whats wrong with liking the sound of generic pop rock once in a while.

Its not that there's a problem with it. Its that were all very tired and we want something new. If I wanted generic pop rock I would pick up one of the other albums that sound exactly the same. I'm not bashing I'm just saying.

EDIT: Just some fresh material is all were asking. Shake it up Nickleback.

Yeah I was addressing the Nickelback haters in general though, I mean what age do people get past the elitism?

On my last.fm you can find one song by Nickelback, and in the same breath another one from Wasted Youth, T.S.O.L., MDC all the way around to any number of old jazz musicians that you can think of.

There is really something to be found in all types of music..

Aye, I agree with you completely. But I think there's also a lot better in this certain genre. You know? I mean ya dig what ya dig but if people want to find something in this rock/pop they may listen to artists more creative than Nickleback. I'm not claiming the genre is generic... I'm saying the band is generic. And some people find that there is no purpose in listening to something they have heard before. But again, it's all personal preference.

Yeah I don't like them. To me they're just a really boring band. I don't want to waste any more adjectives on them. I put them in the same vein as Puddle of Mudd, Seether, Hinder, and Buckcherry. I think Buckcherry's older stuff didn't suck THAT bad, but Sorry? "Cause everything inside it never comes out right and when I see you cry it makes me want to die". That speaks for itself.
