but with all due respect to everyone here, my thought on the matter is that i view musicbanter as a family. the mods are the parents and the members are the children. now the parents set some rules to ensure that the family works in the most harmonious way as possible. some children are not nice and always break the rules. but some parents as well do the same. where do we draw the line? honesty. if everyone would be just honest enough that they made a mistake, whether it's the parents or the children, mods or the members, then we wouldn't have this long disagreement at all. but then again, arguments are fun to read so there.

the only reason I ask is because this tends to happen quite often with the mods.

They will bait people by saying things like that and if oojay was smart, he'd just let it go but he's a passionate person so he's most likely going to respond.

It's just like throwing out enough rope for people to hang themselves and specifically people that you know will have a high probability of doing so.

That does happen quite frequently. I will say that I think it has less to do with being a mod, and more to do with being an experienced poster in a forum setting. Those two just coincidentally go hand-in-hand most of the time.

If you try to trace back all conversations that we have, it's always me responding to you, not the other way around.

my understanding of entrapment in the current discussion is when you try to provoke someone into doing anything that is totally against the rules. in fact, between the 2 of us, you're the one who'se doing entrapment of me. posting insults and negative comments against me so i'd lose my patience and do something that against the forum rules.

Do you really want to keep arguing? My response was pretty clear cut, and hardly a backpedal, especially considering that the only other posts that it could possibly backpedal to clearly convey the same idea. As DJC said, you're really just trying to provoke me into telling you off so that you can ban me. If you want a profanity-laced tirade then I suggest that you go watch a Michael Richards routine, because all you're going to evoke out of me is sh*ts and giggles :)
