That's just too bad.

I'm not against people posting videos, It would be nice if they told us why they've decided to post it though.
Otherwise if you just want to post endless videos for the sake of posting them, although why anyone would want to is beyond me. then they are free to do it as they please in the areas of the forum where their post count represents how much effort they put into the site. I.E. none.

I just think that in the actual music forums things should be moderated a bit more tighter and posts with no content should be discouraged.

I would also like to see Yac limit the number of youtube videos per post to 2.
That was if someone does want to post about 20 youtube videos in a row we CAN ban them from spamming.

Re: Youtube Limit: Two seems a bit short, and I say this because I'm thinking of the Journals, where others and myself tend to include songs from the albums we're writing about, or even just post about the songs themselves. I'd hate to take away from that, because it's such a high quality section of the site.

Yeah I thought about that afterwards.
That is the only downside of it.

Is there a way to partition that rule to a certain forum? Youtube videos limited only outside of Editor's Pick? It seems possible, given we are able to limit post-approval there.

I don't read the Journals, because I don't care about the songs from albums people are writing about, and the songs themselves don't interest me musically as a rule. You think it's high quality, but I think it's boring rubbish. It's an excellent place to start limiting posts. Your posts.

You're trying way too hard

skaltezon 08-22-2011 05:32 PM

What do you mean?

You mean limit people that actually put in the effort around here? That's a good one.

We're not talking about effort. Effort in selecting a youtube video could involve a lot of searching and comparing that doesn't show up on the boards. We're talking about what people like, and that's a valid point. I don't see anything interesting in the journals, so I'd be in favor of removing them from the board altogether. Make it one of the clubs that a person has to join to gain access.

As in you seem to be trying way to hard to create confrontation, something that hasn't gone unnoticed by others.
The last part of your post was totally unnecessary. If you want to stick around here I suggest you cut out making comments like that right now.
