Really? In my generation Ernest was pretty omnipresent at least for a short time. The movies were kinda huge and there was even a shortlived TV show. Ernest was probably my introduction to comedy in general.

Hardly anyone I know irl has seen them. And I hang out with nerds! Earnest Goes to Jail was something Chad and I bonded over early on lol.
